What Cave has been saying but I will keep my head in the sand until I eat crow.

What's the "obvious thing happening" I haven't been on the board much lately. I thought Cave has just been saying KD + Kyrie to NYK was a possibility (especially if they get Zion and can move him for AD).

Yeah, not obvious at all(at least whatever the hell Nate is alluding to).

So like, what's actually AD's problem with the Celtics? Because I refuse to believe it has anything to do with Isaiah Thomas.

Is it just that we're the main threat to bring him in if not NY or LAL so there's incentive to attack our motivation to deal for him? Is it the accusations of racism against Boston?

I get the draw of LA or NY for a young guy, but it's not even like those are the only 2 teams on his mythical "list".

Yeah I'm not sure.

Maybe it's Kanter, Knox, this year's unprotected 1rst for AD.

I don't think they can trade any of their recently acquired players.

We're not a massive market like LA or NY so he would be missing out on his "legacy" and endless millions in advertisement.

We don't have an MVP level player on our team like the Bucks who have the next best dominate thing besides AD himself. So that trumps his legacy because Greek Freak + AD easy Warriors level of easy street.

I can't believe some of you guys can't see through Rich Paul. It is hysterical.

He extends the list to:

LAC--In LA where Davis wants to be
Bucks--Klutch client Eric Bledsoe
Knicks--Davis wants to be there and knows if we don't get AD that Kyrie probably goes there because of KD
LAL--LeBrlon James and Klutch

All of those teams KNOW that the Celtics have the most assets, barring NY getting Zion. THEY KNOW IT. THEY ARE SCARED WE ARE GOING TO GET HIM . And don't you think LeBron and his b**** named Rich wants nothing but misery for Boston, as a Laker and as main rival of ours for years?

So they leak that he doesn't want Boston so that we don't get him, but Ainge just laughs, kicks back with a nice glass of milk (Mormons can't drink obviously), and watches the media frenzy ensue.

Sad some of you guys can't see this. Just plain sad.

Lol at calling me the naive one when you think the entire media is Lebron’s puppet

I think it obvious at this point.
Its not the “entire media” though is it? No, its a select few who are being fed the same story.

ESPN, Yahoo, the Athletic, numerous team beats. That pretty much sums up the entire sports media, no?

We can’t trade for AD now unless we move kyrie. Why would we be on the list if AD wants to be traded by deadline.

Also, Anthony Davis, if he truly doesn’t consider Boston as a place, I gotta question his intelligence.

Boston has everything you could ask for as an nba star. Big media market, world class city, history, rabid fan base and access to elite talent and resources.

It’s like he sees himself as a Laker, not a Celtic. Just bizarre.

I am fine if he doesn’t want to come. And if kyrie is dumb enough not to resign, that’s on kyrie. Not Ainge.

When you look at Boston...historic franchise that is maybe a half a player away from a title. We getting to the finals this year anyway without him.

Yes. And only LA imo. He wants Lebron and the city of LA. This has nothing to do with IT.

No but seriously with this going on, you know Ainge is listening for Irving offers.

NO won't pull the trade off before the deadline I'm sure. But if he's gone, Ainge 100% may have an Irving trade he would do at the deadline. Doubt there's enough advanced notification for him to pull it off.

It is stuff like this that has slowly made me despise the NBA. And it has nothing to do with the success of the Celtics, as you may know I am a Dolphins fan. But the complete crap that players and agents control stuff, because the players are a bunch of pussies and don't want to compete. They want the glory, the titles, but they don't want to earn it. Typical of today's society.

Thank God, the bucks have only brogdon to offer from valuable assets.
Imagine if they had middleton under contract...
Middleton + Brogdon + Maker+ future 1st beats out of the water any lakers offer.
NY doesn't have anything valuable to offer now.
And LAC will wait for kawhi i think, although if they package harrell + williams+ alexander + picks they can do it too.
At least, we should hope he isn't traded to milwaukee or NY.

Right. Because LA is his dream scenario. Boston is a place he has no interest in. But there is an inbetween. And thats what Shams just reported.

But Shams just reported a bunch of teams that can't make an offer of any real value for Davis. Thus forcing NO to go back to LA. I think it's all designed to get Davis to LA.

Thats not Rich Pauls job. How many good teams actually have the assets to make a trade? Lol.

It's Rich Paul's job to get Davis to LA. Providing a list of teams that Davis would sign with, but who can't make a solid offer for Davis, gets Davis to LA, and is therefore Rich Paul doing his job.

Just sounds like posturing to me. In the end if he has no interest in Boston then whatever. I don’t get it for actual basketball reasons.

If you don’t understand the basics of how this works then there is no point is getting you up to speed. I’ll try one more time: Look at any of those articles and see who they source for the actual info. They all say the exact same thing. There is no reporting being done by them. They are all just parroting the exact same thing from the exact same source. This isn’t even challenging to figure out

It has nothing to do with "millennial culture" but you're spot on otherwise.

We are like a Steph Curry sprained ankle away from having a legit shot at the finals this year. There's no way Ainge trades Irving. You keep him, make a run at the finals and dare him to leave such a great situation at the end of it.

I don’t care what Davis wants.
I don’t care what Davis dad wants
I don’t care what Davis agent wants.
I don’t care what the Easter bunny wants
If Davis is available in the offseason I’m trading for him.

Again, nothing has changed...at least in Danny Ainge's mind. With 4 days left, this media onslaught is an all out push to get Demps to take a Laker offer now as opposed to waiting for Boston. If they can get Danny Ainge to think AD wouldn't resign it will depress his trade offer enough to make the Lakers offer seem more preferable. Or at least, if they can get Demps to think Danny will drop his offer than he might cave. Psychological warfare going on right now. Danny's stance on this hasn't changed if if a segment of fans' stances have. The only question left here is whether or not this works on Demps. It really doesn't matter what any of us think in terms of whether he will or won't resign with us. If Danny can get a shot, he likely won't miss and Davis will be a Celtic in the offseason. Question is, will he get that opportunity?
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!
