I'd rather get Fultz if we're considering backup PGs. He'd cost less to trade for(so long as the Sixers don't delude themselves) and he's got an extra year on his deal so we have time to assess whether he fits in to our plans long-term. I think a change of scenery would do him well, on the court he hasn't been that bad of a player. If he could get an established role as a sixth man and play with less expectations, I think we could get a productive player with upside. He's more than just a shooter who can't shoot.

Fultz was the top pick when Philly gave up Tatum and another 1st rounder for him. They will want something of solid value in return.

They can want, I just don't think they'll get much for a guy who hasn't been able to play because of an injury you can't see.

They aren't getting value back. To them he's an overpaid backup that is unlikely to live up to his draft position. It'll be best for everyone involved to trade Fultz and let him restart somewhere else. Dedmon or Lin and a second would be a solid return and the expiring contract helps them cap wise for the off-season.

Nope no value for Fultz, least not equivalent to his draft position. I also don’t agree that no Hawk is untouchable. I believe Trae and Collins are untouchable. Please don’t say what about if they offer Lebron or Harden...realistically.

But you see they have the luxury of waiting it out, atleast through the offseason.

Philly is trying to upgrade their bench for a playoff run. Unless Fultz is returning after the Allstar break, he's useless to them. Philly isxalso trying to clear Fultz's $10mil to create a max slot in the offseason.

Should we trade our Dallas pick and Prince for Brandon Ingram?

As I suspected: my guess is the Blazers

Brian Windhorst: Jeremy Lin is out there. I think there is a good chance Jeremy Lin is going to get traded to somebody who needs a quality guard. – via ESPN

Colonel Schlenk is on the clock... no games between now and Thursday afternoon's (3 pm eastern) deadline.

Image

Could my mega trade (above) happen?

Well, yeah, mostly it still could, but not completely... Portland already shipped out Wade Baldwin the third, er, make that the fourth, in exchange for Hood.

But the trade for Hood might actually make the mega-trade somewhat more conceivable, since Evan Turner is that much more expendable than he was before.

As someone asserted earlier, and I agree, the big question is just how badly Memphis would want to cleanse themselves of their Parsons dead weight. It's already been reported that those talks have occurred, and even that they included Plumlee as part of that conversation. So, in effect, they exchange that $25m dead weight for the rest of 2018-19 and 2019-20 and an end-of-the-bench young player for a viable though expensive wing they actually would put on the floor (Turner) and a 3rd C, and the flexibility of having those two more movable assets than the one chunk one.

No it probably can’t and most likely won’t.

Hey, now.

Don't forget that your ol friend sturt is one of the very few trade engineers who can actually point to a proposed trade that happened.

8-)

You're wrong on both counts.

It mostly could still happen... no denying that part.

But to say it is unlikely is too big of an understatement... it's much much less than unlikely.

I believe nothing Windhbag says. If it happens, it's purely by chance that he got it "right".

Honestly, with Schlenk's history, I'm not sure I want him participating in a trade of that magnitude. I don't want the Hawks getting doubly screwed.

I started to say I didn't want to get screwed by two guys but @spud2 is having one o' those days and he would've run with that.

It's hard to imagine he's not right that Lin will be gone... and Bazemore... and Dedmon.

But then again, Schlenk didn't trade everyone we thought he'd trade last deadline. So, hard to say anything with any certainty.

You forgot to add 'sleeping on air'. And you said "woj" when you meant to say "Lebron".
