If you believe that, you must believe AD and his father are hypocritical morons who must also have some modicum of respect for a short ass mediocre basketball player. It's possible I suppose.
Again, many months ago AD referenced the IT situation regarding teams not being loyal. This is not something they pulled out of their a$$ recently. I don't think it's the ONLY reason, but I def think its A REASON. So when his father is asked about Boston.. that's going to be his answer. Do I care about Rose or Butler? No. But if someone asked me do I want to play for Thibs, I'd say nope and reference how he ran both dudes into the ground. Its the same nonsense.
It also tells me 1. Kyrie may not be returning.. OR 2. AD doesnt have a burning desire to play for Kyrie.
Because I'll tell you one thing... If Lebron/KD/Curry etc were in Boston, the IT situation wouldn't be as pressing.
If AD EVER had intentions of heading to Boston, he would never have issued the trade demand knowing Boston couldn't get involved. He in no way, shape, or form wants to come to Boston. Now that doesn't mean Danny won't trade for him if he gets the opportunity, but that is the reality we confront.
That isn't necessarily true at all. Davis situation is going to evolve over time. He is giving up a lot of guaranteed money by doing this. Getting traded at this deadline gets him an extra year on his trade kicker getting him up to his max salary for the next two years. Boston can't make that happen. So that is why on with 3 or 4 days to go to the deadline Davis wants to open up the list knowing that the Lakers likely can't get the Pelicans to bite but still doesn't want Boston on it because he wants to be traded on Thurs.
Once Thursday comes and goes then he will have to re-evalute his situation. If Boston is still a no in the summer so be it but you don't get the truth until then. We also may have to deal with the reality that Irving may not want to play with Davis after this **** storm as well.
