Could they additionally send their 4 least wanted players to the Lakers and have the numbers work out?

Pelicans would be dumb to refuse the Lakers offer. Of course this does not bode well for the Celtics because Irving is going to the Lakers.

We already knew this.

They can't. They won't have enough cap room to sign another max free agent if they trade for Davis now.

a) face a depleted Lakers team
b) face AD in his first game as a Laker, if a deal gets done by tomorrow.

I still think he stays in NOLA until the off season, but option B should make a for a fun Thursday night

If he is traded he will sit out his first game , especially if it's with Boston.

No he isn't, if Kyrie leaves it's NY IMO. This Lakers thing is junk with Kyrie. I got no idea why people naturally assume Kyrie has to have AD or he is going to have fits of rage.

We will see. Who knows what the Pelicans are thinking? They could plan to wait all along until July 1st and are just playing with the Lakers.

Only the Pelicans know.

Kyrie re-joining LeBron? You on crack?

If he's going anywhere, it's NY.

I don't see how these figures are accounting the 15% trade kicker AD has..maybe I'm wrong.

Irving for SGA, Gortat maybe a future first.

Why for Clips: They get even lower under the cap but they can sell Kawhi or Durant to play with Irving instead of nothing all while having the right to offer Irving the max. NY's got very little on the Clips and they got about what 30 million extra guaranteed in salary and no snow?

Why for BOS: Fantastic young rookie PG prospect that slides right into the rebuild. Being 6'6" suggest he's switchable on defense and with the current BOS core having a proven lack of playmaking between: Rozier, Smart, Tatum, Brown SGA fills a void talent wise. We should see an awful lot of SGA feeding Tatum and Brown in the next 5 years.

SGA & Gallo for Irving and Morris..

Clips unload Gallo's salary and have room for KD and maybe another max guy?? I'm not sure about Irving's cap hold, since he has an option.

Celtics roll into the playoffs with a better team than last year... Horford, Gallo, Tatum, Brown, Rozier, Baynes, Hayward, SAG and Smart...

Grooverider wrote:I don't understand the Fakers. If they trade for Davis, they can't sign another max free agent this summer. Davis also has a 15% trade kicker and they have Luol Deng on the books still which means they can't add minus smaller deals. It makes no sense. Lebron and AD while gutting your roster isn't winning the finals. You are just selling tickets.

If we don’t get him, but it cripples the Lakers then that is palatable. Trade for Nikola Vucevic and call it a day.

The NBA trade deadline is the only thing that makes me feel like a kid on Christmas eve. As an adult, you no longer get gifts or have anything to unwrap under the tree.
