Buying, Selling, or Holding?

Just a survey to see what people want us to do vs. what they think we'll actually do...
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I voted sell. Think we buy. Even would prefer holding to buying Conley.

I voted sell, but I think we’re adding to this “team”

Depends on who we’re buying. That pick is bringing in a rotation player at best if we can’t get in the top 4 or even 6. I mean who after the top 3 really shows the potential of a high ceiling or shot creation consistently

Theirs going to be guys who surprise us in this draft. The two drafts in recent years that were called bad after the top guys went off the board were 2016 and 2013. Well 2013 didnt even have a top guy it was called a historically bad draft at the time.

2016 produced: Buddy 6,Murray 7, Sabonis 11
2013 produced: CJ Mc10, S.Adams 12, Giannis 15

Those are guys in that mid-late lotto range in what was considered "bad drafts". Now their was other gems picked later in those drafts I just more wanted to post guys in that lotto range where we may pick. Can we identify these guys? Maybe not but one of these years dumb luck is going to be on our side.

Yeah there will be a couple in hindsight but it’s gonna be tough to find them.

Our schedule gets easier, Honestly if we win against the Knicks and the Heat lose against the Blazers tonight we already have the same amount of wins as them. We would be separated from the playoffs by one loss on our side after today more than likely.

I'm with the guys who say it 'all depends.' If the right move is there, sure. I have misgivings about Conley. Aging, undersized point guards often are disappointing, and he's very expensive. If somehow there was a reasonable move that got Jrue? That's something more compelling to me. Still, we talk about all these potential moves, and the ones that happen are often surprises.

I am feeling more confident that we will be holding which is a solid B- from me. I would like to sell but it’s better than buying

Recent trade developments, primarily Bullock -> Lakers and Clippers <-> Sixers, appear to have blown winds of change among the minds of Pistons followers in here... Am I correct in my impression that, from a seeming consensus (as late as a week ago) of building around Blake, we have now flipped fully to a sell-everyone-and-stockpile-on-assets mindset in reaction to what the neighbors have been doing?

Trading away role players who are marginal starters isn't really being in Selling mode. That is more restructuring cap mode. Perhaps, to make room for a larger trade?

We just had a mini-sale. Compare that to Miami’s trade and we could still be backing into the playoffs.

I was referring more to how us Pistons supporters in here reacted to recent trade developments and whether we as fans have now given up on building around Blake and are now advocating sell-all-full-tank mode.

All for that glorious 8th seed playoff courtesy sweep from the Bucks.

It's become tradition for this sad franchise at this point.
