Why don’t you go find the deal best for the Celts and we will deal with the Hawks side of things here Jamaal. Exit stage left.

Haha, is this a vintage spud2 day? Just lock yourself in a room, bro. We don't want you to end up on the news gettin' tased.

And don't worry, @jamaallo. I envision Printz as a super role-guy as we try to compete going forward. My acceptance of him assumes he takes a lesser role behind whoever we acquire (via draft/trade).

Does that make you feel better?

Jeremy Lin, Dewayne Dedmon, Kent Bazemore and Taurean Prince all have been included in rumors leading up to the deadline.

Prince is still on his rookie deal and won’t be a restricted free agent until 2020. ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported the Hawks are looking for a young player and a pick in return for Prince, but they haven’t gotten much traction on any deal.

That’s good news for Prince because he doesn’t want to leave.

“It’s part of the game, but I think everyone in this locker room knows, my family knows, Travis knows and from top to bottom down, I want to be here,” Prince told The Athletic.
“I’ve committed every day of my life since I’ve gotten here to Atlanta and the Atlanta Hawks. As long they continue to give me the opportunity, that’s what I am going to do.”

Prince acknowledged that he knew of the reports linking him to trades, and a possible trade has been on his mind because of the relationships he has established inside the locker room.

“I think a great organization starts with the people involved,” Prince said. “From top to bottom, from owners to the people who handle janitorial duties at the facility, there are great people here. It kind of reminds me of my Baylor days because everyone there was just family oriented. I’ve seen people come and go in this organization, and I feel like I am a huge part of this organization, and I want to continue to be here.”

Prince missed more than a month with an ankle injury and used the time away from the court for introspection. He acknowledged that his turnovers were detrimental to the team. When he qualified in minutes played earlier this season, Prince ranked nearly dead last in assist-to-turnover ratio in the league. He doesn’t have more than two turnovers in a game since returning from injury.
The Athletic

Don't tell jayu but she might've talked me off my desire to trade Printz. His play lately has been much-improved. The quotes from what you posted seen to suggest he's made a concerted effort to play better. A Winslow-esque deal for him would be good, assuming he continues to work to improve.

Shhh .. don't tell jayburd I said that.

I'm right here you know, right here. :D

I may wonder over to the Blazers board today. The Magic and Mavs boards consist of angry people. Let’s see what the PNW has for me.

A little, yeah.

I just see our fanbase making the same mistake we did with Smoove, Teague, etc. (Overvaluing modest talents)

TP is a good dude and worth keeping around. But he projects as simply a role player moving forward.

Travis has talked about being real frugal for years now. I doubt he even offers $13 million (per year) for a guy who'll likely come off the bench for us in future seasons.

Which will leave us, where exactly?

Well, to me, his recent incremental ascent in play earns him the right to stay here to reach restricted free agency rather than being jettisoned off for a project. If he's offered over $12-13 mil-per, let him walk. The 'value' being avoiding ending up like MIA/WAS.

Prince has played well since returning from injury, and his on-court chemistry with Trae Young seems to be improved.

I feel like the the trade rumors have been a wake-up call for TP - he knows it's either start playing better or you won't be around much longer.

Even with the improved play I'd still like to look into a trade, draft day at the latest. His value will never be higher.

The one thing that most "knuckleheads" lack is self awareness. Prince has that and it shows in his recent defensive effort and discipline on offense. He also actually wants to be here. That's all I need see. Keep him.

Good move. Sounds like you might've been set-up by @jamallllo. Probably called the ORL guy, "Hey uh ... you didn't hear this from me but uh .. this @spud2 guy? well ... you know what to do .. {click}"

Go to the Wiz board. They are having a heated angry debate about Klay. Jaaaammmaaaal riled them up with the Huerter comp. Now they are going at each other since we beat them.
