I understand they want to win games and make the playoffs. Some guys are also playing for their next contract. Luckily our coach is idiot and he's gonna make sure we don't win too many games. :P Looking at their schedule before the deadline I think they'll go 6-11 or 7-10 at best and then our record would be 20-34 or 21-33. If they somehow manage to go on a little win streak I'm sure Ted & Ernie get excited and make another dumb trade. Scary times...

He's old school. I'm the same way. Not running from anyone. Going to say what's on my mind. I do NOT LIKE THE DRAMA that pays Steven A. He creates stories with speculation that HAS TO AT TIMES BE ALMOST BASELESS. But, if he came to a locker room and I was a player who had a bit of a problem with him; I would at least speak (with a barrier of people to protect us both from any shenanigans or temper outburst that could lead to suspension/arrest). Steven A WANTS TO MAKE HIMSELF newsworthy and HE LOVES calling out folks' jobs.

Marvin Lewis' firing had to overjoy Smith.

I'll be happy WHEN Steven A. Smith gets run off the air.

It makes me smile inside. God bless you, both.

So, as soon as Bryce Harper signs a $350mm extension, he can suffer a catastrophic injury and bunk with Alex Smith and John Wall.

Ernie “The Panicker”, now we have to hold onto our seats cause the tradeline is coming up, God knows what he will do.

Doesn't get much more #soWizards than that

Ernest, you're the man. Supermax without a cause, I'll never understand why the Wizards were so hell bent on getting this extension done.

Hated it then, hate it now, but I'm happy for John Wall.

Cousins injuries probably wiped out half of his potential career earnings, so good for Wall that he didn't have to go down that path.

It's very depressing to be a Wizards fan, glad I live in Southern California now so I don't go to Wizards game. EG needs to be fired today and the team needs to tank. It's time for a rebuild.

How do we even rebuild if decide to go full tank
Walls contract hasnt even kicked in yet and there is ZERO chance any team would ever trade for him under any circumstances

It has to be a way we can waive his contract. Hopefully he violated some term in the contract.

Well, the Wizards could always decide to stretch the contract

How's a cap hit of $18.8 million for the next 11 seasons sound? Surely by then Grunfeld is ready to retire.

You trade Beal and Porter, don't necessarily re-sign anyone other than Thomas Bryant and focus on the draft so that the players start hitting their primes when Wall's contract is close to done. Wall is basically untradeable now. If he ever returns and starts playing well in a couple seasons, trade him then. Ernie is going to Grunfeld no matter what he does, though... sigh...

On the plus side, I wonder how Dwight Howard feels about retiring a Wizard now? Would he opt out? Maybe he still think Washington is Hogwarts.

Horrible news. Sorry to hear it. Wall has been one of my favourite players to watch live when he's come to Toronto. Made for scary playoff match-ups.

Perfect storm scenario with respect to Satoransky's extension.

Just imagine how giddy his agent must be to have Ernie over the barrel.

Too bad the Knicks traded for Dennis Smith Jr., there goes our only shot of having Sato Ared Effrie'd away.
