I dont know but he’s obviously not been good enough for me to recognize him by his initials. TWP?

What has happened to Burton? Is he still part of a team?

I didn't say untouchable. I was saying in terms of upgrade. Who can you get for Adams at his position that's a clearly upgrade over him (like Davis, Embid, Jokic, KAT or whoever)? The answer is no one. So he won't get traded.

We think Adams, Schroder, and Ferguson can get us what? We would need a Starting Shooting Guard and guards on the bench unit.

Noel/ ?
Grant/ Patterson
George/ Diallo/ Roberson
?/ ?
Westbrook/ ?

You are beating no one in the playoffs with that frontcourt. Unless equal or better big man coming in such trade, I'm keeping Adams.

The problem is you could argue that Adams gets outclassed by most bigs on other playoffs teams right now.
Embiid
Jokic

Nurkic/Gobert arguable
Golden state almost plays him with off the floor
Houston is another matchup problem

The only playoff team he is favorable against is SA and that’s because they use Aldridge and don’t shoot a ton of threes. That’s ONE playoff matchup out of every playoff hopeful team in the west. He’s better than LAC guys but they probably won’t make it.

In any matchup as currently constructed it will be our top two that decide it. Same as the Utah series last year. Same as it was when Durant was here. Adams plays his role, but he’s not irreplaceable by any stretch. He won’t swing a series one way or another. Hence he should not be viewed as “immovable”, just not likely to be moved. However if Presti really wants to go all in, he better be holding that card in his hand.

He played really well against Gobert this year (even if Gobert is a better player)

Capela plays well against Adams but it's still a 50/50

Nurkic is the worst match up for Adams.

Atlanta fans were saying he hasn’t been that good defensively this year. He was also hurt so there is that caveat. I think he would be a fine player on the team, but Atlanta may overvalue him since they don’t HAVE to move him and his potential skill set is one of the most desired. Like DeMarre Carroll was when he was in Atlanta.

Yeah.
It could have been related to the Memphis / Toronto discussions about Conley and Lowry that didn’t get very far. Still probably nothing thunder related though.

I feel like Abrines aint gonna get it done. What are you offering for him?

Lower pick protections and throw in diallo. That’s about our only option. Atlanta doesn’t really need another guard but maybe they want a younger prospect than 25 year old prince. It’s a long shot but not impossible.

I think ill pass on that deal. I like Diallo. I think he will be a great with this team over the next couple of seasons.

Yeah I mean if it this gets it done you do it and figure it out later. **** you could start Diallo at the 2 if you have Westbrook & George w/ AD. I think Grant would have to be in that trade.

You could go AD, Hill & Moore for Adams, Schroder, Grant & Ferguson. I doubt this gets it done. It would be awesome tho.

I don't think Adams isn't outclassed by these guys, they are just better than him. But, he holds his own in these battles and does not need help. When we are talking about Adams in a trade with the Pel's I don't think they are worried about the playoffs and matchups. I think OKC fans look at Adams as immovable because they don't think they will receive value in return. Adams does the little things that the 14th man on most teams cant/wont do.

Adams is tradeable in a deal in which we get a players like AD back. I think Adams fits what a lot of teams want and need. He is a guy you can build around for the next 10 years and he can set up your culture and get your rookies to do the little things. If I am the Pel's, Adams is highly intriguing to me because he does so much of what Nick Collison did for the Thunder.

If I am the Pel's I wait because I want to know who has what pick, let Boston get in on the fun and then they wouldent be trying to get off of Hill's and Moore's contracts.

We have a short window to make something happen. If there is any chance at all for us to get AD, you get him. I love Adams, but AD is a top 5 player in the NBA.

Highly doubtful. No picks to offer. I think the Pel's wait to make the move on draft night. It just makes more sense because you let Boston get in on it and you know who has the Zion pick.

I agree, but I never thought we'd land PG for the package we did either.
