Seems pretty clear

Yes. It's pretty clear that Danny said that... according to woj.

Which would only be posturing because Danny isnt using 7 years of asset collecting to gamble on a year. Extension or nothing.

You act like that would be out of character for Ainge. He even directly said he went hard after Paul George and wasn't seeking any assurances on an extension

The thing is, Danny can trade the whole team minus Irving for Davis. Picks too AND davis can leave in a year.

And none of it will matter to a good majority of the fans and certainly not the owners. Danny knows that. He has a job for life.

And that's scary. There have to he consequences to a bad decision of that magnatude.

I've been wrong before though and I'll admit when I was way out of line. Until then though, I just dont see it.

First I’ve heard of there being bigger problems with Jaylen.. think he’s scapegoat for team struggles/rivalries..

Rozier/Jaylen/BOS 1st for Isaac/Bamba probably works for both teams.. we’d just need to follow up with a trade for a backup guard..

Parl's been against Jaylen for some time, people have yelled at him but I always trust Parl and I had the same feelings he did which I privately told him about.

Jaylen seems to have settled into his role quite well though so I think his value the last few months has sky rocketed.

Only way to top LA’s package is ....

1. Include Tatum
Or
2. Sac picks lands number 2

Let him be a laker then? The finals will still be celtics warriors in that scenario.

Warriors will he an issue for the lakers and by time they aren't lebron will be 38/39 and Davis is pushing 30.

That isnt a disaster for the celtics. It's a lol to the lakers.

I admire your fandom. The Tommy in you is strong brother! I like it.

Lol. I admit it, everything is green lenses with me. No shame though.

Davis averages 68 games played a season.

That's pretty bad. Honestly. Better than I thought but really not impressed.

Now you're gonna add the year in and out playoff grind and somehow his injury history is supposed to disappear?

Hes the best big man in the game. Hes not a game changer as of thus moment. We know that because hasnt been.

He gets a lot of small injuries. Not everyone is perfect. But that doesn't even matter. Look at what he did in the playoffs last year, when things actually matter. They swept Portland, and he averaged 33 and 12, with over 2 steals/2 blocks.

Orlando maybe gives up more talent, but Boston’s guys have shown higher floors already, and the Magic need a point guard and a small forward..

Rozier/Fournier/Brown/Gordon/Vucevic is a playoff team..

We give more minutes to Tatum and Hayward at the 2, Hayward tries point guard with the second unit - Bamba and Isaac maybe don’t play, but Isaac at least has the defensive chops to get minutes at the 4 for us.

And all the people saying not to trade Tatum+ for AD now wouod be saying not to trade Al+ for KG.

Now they'll quote me and say Tatum>>Al, and theyre right. But AD is 6 years younger than KG was, of course he will get a bigger haul.

This is crap. Jayson Tatum has 19 career playoff games as the number 1 option in his one year in the league, honestly the same could be said for Jaylen Brown. Anthony Davis has played in 13 playoff games in 6 seasons.

People are so quick to forget last season. These kids did this on their own this isn't Kobe riding Shaq this was Hayward and Irving down for the count and maybe we can win a few games and they went through the Eastern Conference like it was the NCAA tournament.

These guys are not prospects they are players.

It's as if people here don't watch Anthony Davis play basketball.

This is madness.

I do get it though. Not everybody is a league pass junkie. Some people only watch the C's, which is plenty of time spent watching basketball all by itself. Makes sense they wouldn't appreciate how great this guy is and what he'd mean for this team.

Very high on Jaylen & he’s too young, & dealing w/ too much personally & professionally, for it to be a red flag. But he could blow up in Orlando..

Man, this so reminds me of the days leading upto the KG trade. But I feel the insanity is even higher now, with social media and all the smoke that results. I really would like to get AD, as he would be the perfect piece to round out a deadly trifecta. And it would keep him away from NY and the F(uc)akers. But this suspense is killing me (and my phone's battery). Can't wait for Thursday to pass and this thing either be resolved, or to finally know we are still in the hunt. As much as losing Tatum might hurt, if it nets AD, it is a no brainer.

And LMAO@the Faker fans on the GB who think their package was good enough. So they want NO Pelicans to be the NO Lakers (with Randle to round out the team!), and they expect the Pelican to be happy with the deal?? GTFOH!

Would you rather guys rather trade Jaylen Brown and Smart with fillers and picks, or Hayward and Tatum with fillers and picks?

Danny has been waiting years for this very moment. He has positioned this franchise perfectly to make this very move. You think he's gonna quit and walk away just because AD isn't instantly committing to boston? PLEASE......Danny is going to pair davis and irving together and dare him to walk away from all the success that will surely follow. Just think if DANNY gave up as soon as KG said he didn't wanna come here. We would have one less banner right now. If there was ever a time to roll the dice on a move, this is the time. It's a no brainer.
