they didn't open up any more cap space this summer though so still not any closer to 2 maxes. positioning themselves better for an ad trade. i respect it tho. they were going nowhere with the pieces they have. better to go for the big names or tear it up.

the sixers get more talent but it still is not a great fit. tobias can shoot the 3 but it's not really what he is. and that's what they need more than anything.

Yeah, I think the clippers just wanna have assets for any trade. Whether it’s to make a bid for AD, Beal (almost certain to be available now), Dame or whoever else might be on the block. I can dig it. Glad it doesn’t open any more cap though.

How can people who are paid big money to analyze have no clue about their job to do that?

Yes, the Knicks have made some bad decisions in the past that put them into a terrible cap situation and soured player relationships but they weren't done by Perry. So continuing to whine about past decisions that the present GM didn't make is like blaming your present girlfriend for things your ex did to you. It's bitter ex baggage derangement.

Look at the moves the present GM is making with the situation they inherited and the results of those moves for what they are themselves not conflated with the moves of previous regimes. True we can say, hey, Mills is still there so that's a problem and Dolan still owns the team so that's a problem but let Perry do his job as GM on it's own, it's only fair to him to do that.

If Mills and Dolan continue to meddle or fire him then we can call that for what it is but there is no way Mills or Dolan could have pulled off such a deal with KP as quickly and quietly as Perry did in getting as much as he did in assets and flexibility. They would have botched it completely and spectacularly so their fingerprints are nowhere to be found on that deal.

Of course talking heads like Max and many others are hysterical simpletons feeding the emotional meltdown mentality, not reasonable intellects.

Max Kellerman has bias agendas and is also stubborn.
He’s been saying Tom Brady is done as a good QB for months and look who just won another Super Bowl the other night? He still can’t admit he’s wrong.
Knicks can end up with 2 stars, Zion & prime Michael Jordan and he’ll still find a way to complain and shade the Knicks due to his personal hate of James Dolan (who most of sports media hates and gets carried over to the team’s overall hate).

Someone will take him without a pick. He's not a negative asset with only one year left on his deal.

Watch how the narrative gets flipped on sports shows today.
- When the Knicks open cap space & acquire draft capital: there’s no guarantee they can even sign 1 top talent this summer!
- When Clippers trade Tobias for draft capital: Clippers are a team to watch when signing top talents this summer!

he's not a 22 mill a year player and why not get a pick if the clippers need to move him. he's also often hurt. he just missed the last 3 weeks and is supposed to be back tomorrow.

Winning the lottery is so important. Zion is the key in making us more attractive than any of these other spots in free agency.

No way a team just takes Gallo into their cap. He’s not that good. Maybe for smaller contracts or a pick return but I don’t see a team just trading him for cap space.
It’s not like he’s a $7M contract or something either.

A lot of teams are still looking for shooting and he's still easily one of the better ones in the league.

So instead of 4 1st rd picks, Boston looking at 3 most likely. Clippers adding assets, while taking 1 away from Boston. 2 birds, 1 stone.
