Clippers traded Harris when his value was highest. He obviously wants max money this summer, and has just proven he's a 2nd option on bad team, 3rd on good team over and over again. Nice guy, great player. For Clippers FO to get two 1sts out of this and a young guy is great by me.

Now if they can do the same with Beverley+Bradley I'd be ecstatic.

You need to cash in Gallo first. Bradley at least is not guaranteed.

Not enough mention that the Clippers get to keep their pick if they fall down to the lottery. This trade helps that goal tremendously.

I love this trade for Clippers. They are serious players for AD now and they will clear enough for 2 max FAs. They are going to be a fun team to watch, off the court.

Eh. The Miami 2021 unprotected is worth 2-3 Lakers picks in the late 1st round EASILY. If SGA is on table, Clippers have one of the better trade offers in the league. I DO agree with your second part though. Now is the time to try to get a late 1st for guys like Beverley. Stockpile a TON of picks for either trades or to simply draft if you strike out in free agency. I want Clips to tank so they don't lose the pick to Boston.

Oh for sure everyone would be on the table, but still missing that elite prospect (I love SGA btw) will have to see how the lottery shakes out and maybe you get lucky?

Fair point. I'd do Gallo next, but since he's currently out with back spasms not sure what can happen. That being said, Gallo has been a top 15-20 ish player at times this year and is having a career year. He should be able to fetch a late 1st at worst and some cap relief no? A team like your Lakers (if they weren't trying to chase superstars right now would be a great fit).

Unprotected Miami Pick very likely to be around 10-15 in a year before the super draft. It’s probablt worth 2 late lakers picks but only if they’re 20+.

If that pick was unprotected in 2022 when the super draft of high school and college players are available it would be crazy valuable.

As soon as the nba announced it’ll be 2022 and not 2021 it instantly lost value hence why its being bounced around for not a heap of value from Phoenix to Philly to Clippers.

Agreed. SGA has star potential, but I give it like a 30% chance. More likely he's just a really good starter for a long time in the Sam Cassell/Mike Conley type deal. Basically not a legit superstar or cornerstone, but a great, stable starter for many years who may get lucky and make an all star team once. I thought we should of tanked all along for a top 5 pick. You don't attract superstars by winning 42 games and playing hard.

Harris is 26 and averages 21/8/3/1 on 49/42/88 shooting (4.6 3’s attempted per game)

Gay is 32 and averages 14/7/3/1 on 52/41/87 shooting (2.5 3’s attempted per game)
