Eh. The Miami 2021 unprotected is worth 2-3 Lakers picks in the late 1st round EASILY. If SGA is on table, Clippers have one of the better trade offers in the league. I DO agree with your second part though. Now is the time to try to get a late 1st for guys like Beverley. Stockpile a TON of picks for either trades or to simply draft if you strike out in free agency. I want Clips to tank so they don't lose the pick to Boston.

Unprotected Miami Pick very likely to be around 10-15 in a year before the super draft. It’s probablt worth 2 late lakers picks but only if they’re 20+.

If that pick was unprotected in 2022 when the super draft of high school and college players are available it would be crazy valuable.

As soon as the nba announced it’ll be 2022 and not 2021 it instantly lost value hence why its being bounced around for not a heap of value from Phoenix to Philly to Clippers.

I predict Lakers with AD would be a 25-30 pick. That's more what I'm basing the value comparison on.

In the 23 games that Simmons-Redick-Butler-Embiid have all played in, the Sixers are 19-4, the issue was not having depth for when one went out. We’re now adding more top end depth to that, as well as bench depth. Strictly the players switching teams Harris, Boban, Scott adds more playable/worthwhile depth than Shamet, Chandler, Muscala did.

Considering how we have struggled to integrate Butler into the offence this is a really bold / risky move.

Another thing is......for all the talent Embiid and Simmons have, they don’t always play nice with each other let alone others.

Again though, that's hypothetical. Now they're most likely landing at least Jimmy Butler or Kyrie (and probably are 2nd favourite for Kawhi) but its still a risk.

Very likely got confirmation that Harris would resign with them when trading for him as well.

For a super efficient 21/7/3 player who is probably the best fit of any player in the league on that roster outside of maybe KD and a a backup centre in Boban.

Seems like an absolute win win where everyone walks away super happy.

If the Sixers have the space to max both Butler and Harris now, I love this trade for them.
Some people don't realize that getting your core in under Bird Rights is huge so you can re-sign all of them as you go into the luxury, just like Golden State has been doing. Once you're already handing out max. contracts to your core (Simmons & Embiid) AND into the luxury, it's extremely hard to add impact pieces. This is a masterful stroke by Elton Brand & Brett Brown if they get both to re-sign.
Also a great move for LAC, who weren't contending for anything but the 8th seed this season anyway, and get to keep their own FRP if they fall out of the playoffs.

I love this trade for Clippers. They are serious players for AD now and they will clear enough for 2 max FAs. They are going to be a fun team to watch, off the court.

Unless the Pels trade him there out of spite to us (which i'm not ruling out), what would they offer? SGA and Jerome Robinson + the Miami first and the 12-14th pick and that 76ers pick?

We offered 2 firsts + our young 3 (and possibly Hart and Zubac) and we're taking back that scrub Solomon Hill. That offer still doesn't really come close.

Boston are about the only team that could legit beat our offer (unless a team like Denver takes a flyer on him or the knicks come in and offer the #1 pick).

A lot can happen in 2 seasons. Miami has some interesting young players (Winslow, Richardson, Adebayo, ...) and there's still a 2020 summer free agency before the 2021 draft.
