I mean, Redick is averaging 18.3 per game just because of his ability to shoot, you don’t think Harris is going to be able to do that? Think it’s more likely Simmons’ (and Redick’s) points go slightly down, but his assists and efficiency go way up. Simmons already averages the most kick-out assists in the league, we’re adding among the best spot/top of key/corner shooters with this.

Well yeah, that was a good deal. It was the deals that went along with it that were kind of :banghead:

. They had 3 point guards.... 1 too many. They flipped Dragic who was unhappy.. okay, you are now good. They then flipped IT to Boston who they had just signed before the season for a late Cleveland 1st. They then turned around and traded for Brandon Knight sending that valuable Lakers 1st back. That Lakers pick was only top 3 protected, yet the Lakers defied the odds 3 years in a row.

That Lakers pick finally turned into #10 last year, that Philly flipped back to the Suns for #16 and the unprotected 2021 Miami pick.

He’ll be a 2nd option on offense..
Butler 3rd with lockdown D
Simmons 4th with lockdown D and doing all ball handling and distributing.
Redick as the 5th as a sniper from 3.

He’s already showcased his offense for thousands of minutes. GMs will know what he has to offer despite what his role is over the next 30 games + playoffs.

Seems like a big price for a short term rental. I rate Shamet, I'm not sure that they needed two firsts thrown in for Harris. The other four players just cancel each other other out.

I get the feeling that the Sixers front office are thinking that they may only have a small window to win - Embiid with injuries and Simmons to L.A., so they want to go all in while they have the chance. Problem is there is arguable the greatest team ever assembled in the West, so they are really just going all in for the Western Conference title.

I mean, it's crazy how he just made all the major players pay attention. They probably keep the pick the C's were counting on, and may have strengthened one of their opponents for them to get eliminated in the playoffs. They could also cause Kawhi to leave as stated. They could stand pat and look good with 2 FAs OR...no AND they can enter the Davis talks and have a **** good package, which elevates them above the same city opponent. Let's not talk about if they really weaken the dubs by attracting KD. Just looking like the belle of the ball right now. Jerry West is a #$%#$@#$%^ G!

Hey the Clippers needed another guard in the rotation! With this acquisition they know have a standard 8 man PG/SG rotation which is essential to success this day and age in the NBA.
