copy/pasting my GB reaction:
Pistons lost Baynes because they overpaid (and underplayed) Boban. Now they've lost Bullock because they've overpaid Galloway (and paid GRIII anything). Obviously it's good that the Pistons are getting anything at all for Bullock rather than losing him for nothing in the offseason because they can't afford to pay him, but this highlights past mistakes.
Bullock is a great guy to have on your team. The Pistons will be worse because of it. That's part of what makes this strange for Detroit. Our owner is constantly in win-now mode. It seems he wants to keep Griffin and Drummond and make the playoffs. But then he gets rid of our one decent wing player. It's like we're in a rowboat and he paddles only the left oar and the boat rotates in one direction. Then he paddles the right oar and it moves back in the other direction without having gone anywhere.
At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
