My gut feeling is that the Clippers won't do that well in free agency. Based purely on gut.

There's not enough of a difference between Kyrie and Kemba, to me, besides age and maybe that Kyrie is a little more passable on D when he cares enough to try to where I'd be truly upset if he ran back to Bron instead of us.... Like I think if you give either of those dudes a Durant to run with you're going to get a great season out of them regardless. Would it suck to be stuck with the brides maid? Yeah sure but as long as you already have Durant you can live with missing out on your second target, especially when it's Kemba.
I do think kemba is a downgrade. But I am enamored with kemba and lillard's ability to take those deep 3's like curry, analytics say guys that can space the floor like that are highly effective. That's why I like trae young and think he will be an all star eventually. I wouldnt be mad at all with a kemba/durant/deandre summer.
Kemba's pull up ability is a game changer, for sure, especially when you have a rim rolling big like Mitch (possibly Deandre for the MLE

I think his most recent shooting slump is more injury related than anything. He's a stud and is only going to be better when he finally gets some real help.

Irving / Ntilikina
Smith / Trier
Durant / Dotson
Williamson / Knox
Robinson / Okafor?!
No need for others... you can sign then Gallinari (who LAC might stretch and waive if they cant snap a pick for him) and someone else of the waivers... and some ring chasers for min vet

If Kyrie goes to LA then so be it. It would also explain why the Knicks kept targeting a PG in any KP trade. If KD isn't coming, then keep rebuilding through the draft. KD isn't winning anything here without a legitimate sidekick. It makes no sense to just sign only him. It's either KD/Kyrie coming together or keep rebuilding through the draft.

Do we stand a chance to make a trade for Dame Lillard?

Dell Demps is asking for the Celtics to make a promise? lol That just sounds so young and weak. If true, do they sit out AD all year to make sure he's healthy?

Yep, which is why NY actually work for both of them.
Its like Messier and the Rangers....... Yeah he won the majority of his championships with Gretzky, but by winning in NY he's treated like a champion on his own talent and doesn't live in Gretzky's shadow...... Sort of how Pippen lives in Jordan's shadow or how Lebron lived under the Big 3/Decision shadow until he won in Cleveland.
Kyrie I think went to the Celtics to do that their by Gordan's injury ruined the plan. To add insult to injury now the youth on the roster resent him for wanting to be the leader after they won without him.
I'm more worried about Kyrie to LAC than LAL
You think Kyrie is going to leave Boston and go out West to the tougher conference to play with Avery Bradley, Gallinari, and Lou Williams? Only person I could see going out there is Kawhi cause he is deadset on LA. At least in NY there are a youth squad (like Boston tried to do) and potentially KD, and a high draft pick.
No... I see Kyrie going out West to partner up with Kawhi and become what they think is, the best team in the West. They can do that with the LAC.

I wonder if any of these guys are even considering Lebron's age at all? He's what 34 or 35 now and i would think all these guys are gonna sign at least a 4 year deal so do you really wanna do that if Lebron isn't gonna be Lebron for the last couple of years or do you think Lebron will be playing like he's still playing now for all 4 years? He did have a kinda serious injury already that kept him out longer then anyone was expecting with that groin injury so is that cause age is catching up to his body?

No rumors of any moves for us? Hopefully things are in the works and there just hasn't been any leaks like the KP trade.
Let's see some 2nd rounders, at least. Damn Perry.

I can't believe we won't move Kanter and/or Wes before the deadline. Maybe this is the quiet before the storm!

The trades that are happening make it seem like we have a chance
Mil should seriously consider Jordan
Sac should consider kanter
Phily should consider mathews

Re: FA/Trade Rumors & Discussion - Durant, Kyrie, AD, etc
My dream scenario (but it assumes we land the #1):
GTD:
Noah (6,431,667)
Thomas (1,000,000)
Ntilikina (4,855,800)
Smith Jr. (4,463,640)
Knox (4,380,120)
Robinson (1,559,712)
+9,800,000 (#1 pick)
Dotson (1,618,520 NGTD)
Trier (3,551,100 TO)
Sign: KD to max contract
38,150,000+4,855,800+4,463,640+4,380,120+1,559,712+7,431,667+9,767,280+1,618,520+3,551,100+3,353,856=79,131,695=29,868,305 (cap space)
That leaves us more than enough to take on AD's contract.
Trade #1:
Zion, Dotson, Knicks 2021 1st, Mavs 2023 1st to NO for AD
After trade 1:
38,150,000+27,093,019+4,855,800+4,463,640+4,380,120+1,559,712+3,551,100+7,431,667+4,192,320=95,677,378=13,322,622 (cap space)
In order to now trade for Beal, since we are under the cap by 13,322,622, that plus 9,254,878 in outgoing salary would be equal to the 22,577,500 needed to trade for Beal (22,577,500 x 120% = 27,093,019)
Trade #2
Knox, Trier, Frank, 2021 Mavs 1st, Knicks 2023 1st to WSH for Beal
... I know its giving up a lot....I'd rather sign Kawhi than trade for AD....
