knicks would be crazy to trade Zion for anyone not named Giannis especially on a rookie scale deal.

hypothetically of course.

nah..perry you aint low.

better leave Mitch and my pick out of all discussions.

if I could leave 2 players out of the deal it would be DSJ (even more so now that rumors have Kyrie liking LA and BKN) and Mitch (he's gonna be a stud; already is on a per-36 min basis lol)

I know he's got injury concerns and has other issues on and off the court but the dude is an absolute killer/gamer/clutch guy who loves the big moment plus we need a guard to pair with our #1. He's the only elite backcourt FA. I wouldn't be nearly as hyped if we got two wings or AD/wing.

All 3. We need to do all 3.

Who is that? Doesn’t sound familiar. We don’t have a Mitch on our roster to my knowledge, but I’ll double check.

IMO, I wish we had more leverage... but it's the most risk-averse way of ensuring that we don't strike out. If Kawhi is really 100% on LAC and Boston gets AD, then we're toast:

LAC - Kawhi
BOS - AD, Kyrie will re-sign

Then, there's only Kemba (who may sign the supermax), KD and Butler (gross). KD is not coming to NY alone. IDC what anyone says. There's no chance. I think he'd go to LAC.

Getting AD out of Boston's grasp is the only way to guarantee our fate. Kyrie is not resigning if we get AD... no chance... and Durant is a lock if AD comes. We'd have a real shot at both (even if they have to take a pay-cut).

I'd much rather have AD locked in and become a favorite for KD and/or Kyrie than strike out completely... esp to Boston

i agree, it's not what i would do. if durant and kyrie wanna come play with zion, cool. if not, continue the rebuild around him. the idea that you would have to give up frank, ds jr and knox too seems like an overpay as crazy as it seems. but i think you would have to.

its a tough discussion because here's the thing. Zion at best is a 14% chance (at best). If we don't get the #1 pick the rest of these guys in the draft are meh...do you take that risk now?
