Can’t tell me with how close AD and Kyrie are that AD doesn’t know if he’s leaving or not. And why are we so high on his list without having a star here already?

The nets have the same problem they’ve always had. No one goes to the games. The allure of playing professional basketball in New York is Madison square garden. You know that probably better than I do at this point. Only a dummy would go from the knicks to nets.

PS. This is a shot at porzingas. Who I am not going to take the time to google a proper spelling for. Even though it would have been quicker, than typing this explanation of why I spelled it wrong.

its a tough discussion because here's the thing. Zion at best is a 14% chance (at best). If we don't get the #1 pick the rest of these guys in the draft are meh...do you take that risk now?

if we trade for ad now, the pick won't be as good. so they won't do it now. with ad, we could go .500 in the east for the rest of the year with how weak the east is.

Exactly... people say Zions name like it's likely. It's more likely to be Keldon, Reddish or Rui than Barret, Morant or Zion. There's a 60% chance of getting pick 4 or 5 if we finish with the worst record.

This might the time where you have to. What are the chances Knox, Dsjr, Frank combined come even closer to AD's impact?

There is zero urgency for the Knicks to do this now, similar to how there isn't any urgency for NO to anything with Davis.

Knox + top 4 protected pick is the most I'd offer now.

I personally think DSJ can be that guy; his upside is high. Too many are quick too give up on guys in there first couple seasons (happened with D'Angelo Russell, now he's thriving Year 4). It takes time for guards to develop, but usually by Year 3 or 4 they find their groove

Just happy to see that after KP leaves, DSJ has become the center of delusion around here.

Kyrie or DSJ? Please tell me you all are joking.

I will refer to the point I made previously:

"no ones arguing Kyrie or DSJ. Obviously Kyrie is better. The argument is that the money used to get Kyrie can be spent on a different max player (like Kawhi, who arguably affects winning more than Kyrie), while keeping DSJ who has a lot of promise/upside"

I've never been comfortable giving Kyrie a max contracts. Dudes track record just don't add up. Knicks would be better served spending on a SG or PF in the off season.

nah..perry you aint low.

better leave Mitch and my pick out of all discussions.

if I could leave 2 players out of the deal it would be DSJ (even more so now that rumors have Kyrie liking LA and BKN) and Mitch (he's gonna be a stud; already is on a per-36 min basis lol)

cant package DS Jr in a multi player deal? true?

CBA heads..

no he cannot. if a team is over the salary cap and acquires a player in a trade, they cannot trade that player in combination with another player for 2 months

we still aren't passing the #4 spot in the draft so maybe they still think that is a better asset then anything the Lakers are giving them right now (which is likely)

Pelicans are in a tough spot because they also have to weigh David getting hurt or teams moving on an not getting the same offer in the offseason.

Its all a game. I'm not suggesting doing it...but if its not Zion, I am not thrilled with this draft class.
