to be fair I just don't think they want to give in the lakers...its almost like they would be willing to accept a lower offer from someone else just to not send him to LA.

Wouldnt be the first time. It used to be very common to not trade within the same division or conference... even if the deal was better.

Whey wait, get AD tomorrow. Overpay if you have to. Just overpay with a pick or two. Keep Mitch and give them a pick.

My thinking is that if you get AD, you're basically assuring yourself another Max player in FA. Plus if you have enough assets left over (which they might after reloading all these years), get Beal too

Ehhhh I'd be willing trade the 2 Dallas picks and our pick without a second thought...

I would give up the following without a second thought:

2019 Knicks
2021 Dallas or NYK
2023 Dallas or NYK
Right to Swap 2 years (idc which years...)
Knox
Trier
Ntilikina

AD

Then, we'd have:

Mitch, AD, DSJ, Dot, every 1st round pick after 2020 and lots of cap space. This could potentially set up a DSJ + pick for Lillard type of deal since we'd be under the cap and able to absorb salary. He also makes less than Kyrie will so it may allow us to sign KD outright without him having to accept less than the max.
