say they sent kanter, knox, frank, and 4 1st (including 2019 unprotected). they probably have enough to keep DJ in the fold another year before extending over cap to fit the AD/KD window.

DSJ
dot
KD
AD
deandre/mitch

ring chasers, rookie scales.

does that group have what it takes to win it all? if not, i don't see the point in trading for AD before the summer when you could turn deandre into kyrie or kawhi or klay. or even middleton.

I think it depends on how much DSJr & Mitchell can develop.
I’d prefer to wait until summer for this trade though. Patience is a future. Big 3 better than a Dominate Duo.

even if that duo is arguably the two most dominant players in the league?

I mean, it’s definitely tempting. We probably could keep more prospects that way & the duo SHOULD be enough. Bucks don’t even have a duo and look how they’re flowing. Who knows though. I’d be happy in either scenario.

Do they give you the impression that they want to trade him or that he wants to be traded? #1 seed in the east right now. I think he’s good

He’ll force out like AD.

His time to move on.

AD took a few more years to force out and only after the team had sustained losing. Giannis won’t do that if the team keeps winning

Avoiding the media for days just made things worse. Even if joining the Knicks is his secret intention, and the media asks him about it, just laugh it off and say your focused on the Warriors.

Just give a generic Eli Manning or Belichick response. Don't get too sensitive and emotional. Give some liners, bounce out of there, and get it over with.
- "All I'm thinking about now is working hard and winning another championship".
- "It's all about playing hard and doing what I can for my team"
- "We are still in the middle of the season and we'll have extension talks after the playoffs"

Don't give the media anything. Repeat yourself if they keep pushing for a free agency question. "I'm just focused on winning another ring right now".

Or he’s the type who is a coward and snake who joins 73 win teams and will use the media as an excuse to not come so he can continue to take the same path of least resistance as he always has

You think KD is going to base his decision on possibly being scared of Marc Berman and Stefan Bondy? Give me a break. I have thoughts on what KD said and I don't think he's 100% correct, but at the end of the day he wants to play ball and do what he wants. KD and Kyrie can bitch all they want about the media here as long as they are winning titles. The narrative they can't hack it here because of the media always amuses me. Every year athletes squabble with the media whose only job now is to get clicks and give hot takes.

I wish I could agree. But he's been caught with burner accounts defending himself on twitters. Which is a complete waste of time. It will affect him.

He neither of those things. He simply did what was in his best interest.

How are you really at players for not wanting to come here? Look at the Knicks.

Caught with burner accounts during the years he won titles and finals mvps. I'm not saying he's not sensitive, I am saying this isn't going to affect his decision or his play on the court. History shows this. The GS rumors began in the same fashion as the NY rumors. Didn't affect his play then, isn't affecting his play now, and it won't affect his decision because he's been extremely clear he does what HE wants. If that's here, great, if not, fine, but it won't have anything to do with the media. That's his point, the media stuff is stupid and he had a moment where he vented. Should he have, probably not, but ultimately it's irrelevant.
