But him coming here and finding out being a star in NY isn't all what he thought it would be... That can happen. Him not handling it well... that can happen too.

What does him not handling it well even mean?

Defending himself on burner accounts when he should be sleeping.

Whatever he deals with or dealt with in Golden State or Oklahoma will be x10 here.

He will be "the guy" here. It will be his team. If the Knicks win, it will be "the Knicks" won. If the Knicks lose, it will be "Durant" lost. With GSW, he has Steph and Klay take a big load and a lot of faults. That was and still is Steph's team. In OKC he had Russell who took a lot of fault. He was chucking a lot of missed shots in the PO losses where people put the blame on. KD will take most if not all the fault with the Knicks. He will be the oldest, most paid, most seasoned player on the team.

I'm all for bringing him here btw. 100%. But there is some concern. The last thing I want is him to fail, and we hear the same song and dance of the Knicks media and fans killing their star athletes.

I disagree. If Durant lost in NY it wouldn't be "Durant lost" but rather Kyrie, Durant and Zion etc, etc lost because K.D isn't going to be the only big name player who comes to NY (If any at all).

But it doesn't matter because the media the never scared KD away from becoming a 10x All-Star, U.S God Medal winner and/or multiple NBA Champion. The media in N.Y (a losing city) is a moot point because Durant doesn't need the media to be great.

It doesn’t sound like 4 firsts. Even if it is, we have better picks AND are offerings better Prospects. The fact that they’re not even offering Murray says A LOT. We don’t need to bid against ourselves. It’s why the Lakers pulled out.

The league isn't automatically gifting the Knicks Zion. There's as much chance the Knicks pick 6th as 1st and all the picks in the middle. It's a nice pick. It's not THAT nice. And raw Mitch, still raw Frank, and no D Knox? Eh.

At least the Lakers and Celts youth have proved they can actually function in the NBA at a decent level outside of a handful of games.

Unless the Pels like the Knicks trading away all the youth and every pick they can over 3 years with those Mav's picks that'll be in the 20's, it's not happening.

Of course afterwards, the Knicks could barely afford decent guards to play with KD and AD, but hey! They'd have DSJr and Trier - not bad, and nothing at C and no depth.

Our package can EASILY best the Lakers and is on par with Boston. Fuq outta here. Tatum had a good Rookie year, but has been inconsistent and chucking year. 2. Hence why Boston has been underperforming.

If NYK get #1, it's best asset by a lot. BOS would need to throw everything @ NOP. Not even concerned about LAL, they lowballed value wise, looks like BOS is doing the same w that offer.

Zion's the same height as James Harden and DeRozen without shoes with no shooting ability/touch yet. His standing reach is 8-7... less than Harden. Gimme the brow.

I'm as big an AD stan as you'll ever meet, I'm originally from kentucky, die hard UK fan since childhood, I met him in 2012 right after he won the ncaa championship but before he got drafted #1 and he randomly came by to our small hospital in eky to visit sick kids (i work in health care) and he was the nicest guy ever. Would be a dream come true to have him on the Knicks. And I hate Duke and everyone who came from there and have since 1991. But I would still rather have Zion and all of our picks and young players. I'm attached to these kids and these picks.
