I did not see a thread for him, unless we are using the trade thread as the welcome thread. Let's see how he does as a Sixer.

I’m still a bit amazed that we were able to pull off a deal like this, and got a player like Harris. I have to admit that I didn’t think that we were going to get a player that good this year.

I don’t mind what we gave up simply because I think that the value was there. Harris is perfect for us, and he is only 26. Shamet was a nice rookie, but trading him wasn’t a deal breaker. The Miami pick to me only represented the opportunity cost of what it could be traded for. I never expected to actually draft it, and Harris is a good enough player to warrant trading it.

The lottery protected first has value, but again, I think Harris was worth the price.

He is going to significantly improve our team right away, and for the next 5 years.

He will obviously help Simmons, Embiid, and Butler, but it should be said that he will help JJ too. We overuse JJ, and we won’t have to run as many of those crazy plays where he goes running around in circles and off of screens to take tough 3’s. He is going to get more typical catch and shoot 3’s, and his percentages will probably go up because of it.

Imagine the same volume of shots, but hitting 42% of them instead of 38%. Just reducing the average degree of difficulty of his shots should increase that percentage.

We will be a more dynamic offense, and Simmons and Embiid will really benefit from the space. Chandler wasn’t a bad shooter, but nobody was scared of leaving him at the 3 point line to cheat on Simmons, or double Embiid. Defenses simply can’t do that to Harris.

It’s a pity that the Raptors and Bucks both got better too, but we definitely got a lot better, and if we can gel over the next 6 weeks I think we can get to the finals. We aren’t the favorite, but we have a much better chance than last year.

Will he be able to suit up for the Denver game? If not, then it also means that Boban and Scott will not suit up and we are short handed AF.

He was the "Hoodie Melo".

I'm picturing him filling out that Olympic Melo role for us. Just filling up the stat sheet with quick trigger off the ball jumpers and attacking closeouts with pull ups.

I wonder how the stagger pairings will end up. Do you keep Jo/Jimmy together and go Ben/Tobias, or flip Jimmy and Tobi?

I’d imagine Brett asking him to play the Wilson chandler role for now as we get used to his style. Similar to what he did with Butler by making him play Roco’s role.

Biid-JJ, because that duo is good with any trio.

Ben-Jimmy-Tobi, because Tobi replaces Chandler. While that allows us to have a talent unit without Biid

I’d guess..

We all love Shamet. But not talked about is how bad our starting unit with Shamet was in terms of NetRtg

Come to think of it..

Tobias is not replacing wilson chandler.

He’s replacing dario saric. The good version of Dario when he will knock down 3s on 40%.

Like Dario, he will be a great compliment to Ben.

Ultimately, Sixers replaced Roco with Butler and Saric with Harris.

This team is so different from last year's. I think it is way better. We are not relying on Bellinelli hitting off balance 3s to make the offense go.

that 3 point stroke is MONEY. He's also got a good handle and can get to the rim really well. Just an overall well rounded player. So happy with him!

When he gets used to our offensive system, his impact on this team will be huge.
