With Matthews spoken for Ellington is the one must get player.

I'm down with Chief Kieff as a back up 4 for extra some shooting and he's friends with both Kyle & Kawhi. Not sure who's the playmaker that Masai would be referring to though. Only guess is maybe Lin...

I want Beasley too.
The guy is instant offense. Played really well for the knicks last year.
But Masai would never do it.

I dont know why but I think Zach Randolph might be one of the signings (Assuming we get our shooter first). Not for on-court production..but more for Locker Room leadership.

He's obviously extremely close with Marc Gasol. Has been in numerous tough tested playoff battles. Might be a very good veteran presence on the bench. Especially for Lowry, who becomes a mental midget in the playoffs

Haven't see Randolph recently. But if he still has some ability, he could take Moose's spot as a garbage time big/injury replacement/towel waver.

Most of the other buyout Cs won't want to come here with our lack of minutes available.

As a prorated minimum level player, it will be lower tax wise than keeping Moose.

He just got waived by the Mavs, before coming over from the Kings in the Harrison Barnes deal

Yes I know. Buyout and waive are essentially the same thing. But does he have anything left in the tank?

They just lost Oladipo - much better opportunity for Matthews there.
Matthews wants that $$$, probably starts for them

Chris Boucher is likely going to get added to the roster as a third string center.

In terms of buyout guys, Wayne Ellington is the most interesting name, and would fill a need as a 3 point shooter off of the bench.

Milos Teodosic would be useful as a third string PG, just to provide depth on the days where Kyle Lowry isn't playing.

We could also use another backup big man, ideally at the 4. I'm not really sure who is a fit here

Lowry / VanVleet / Teodosic
Green / Powell / McCaw
Leonard / Ellington
Siakam / Anunoby / ????
Gasol / Ibaka / Boucher

Sounds like Masai already has a few deals in place. I don't think they reduce the roster to 10 without having some names in mind.

Exactly, this immediately stuck out to me as well. He def has some stuff lined up.

You don’t move out 5 guys and bring 1 in without a plan.

These guys are not morons...unlike so many of the people posting on this forum.

Just looked up randolph's numbers. It is crazy he is still starting and putting up decent numbers at 37. I'm not sure how he will be defensively but in a small role that is primarily lockrroom related, he would be fine. Makes a lot of sense especially with the Gasol connection.

This buyout market is going to be really big for us. We NEED shooting. I also want a backup PG that can actually handle the ball and distribute because I want Van Vleet to move into more of a SG role off the bench.

Lowry/Van Vleet/Tedosic or Lin*
Green/Powell/McCaw
Leonard/OG/Ellington*
Siakam/Dedmon*/Morris or Kaminsky*
Gasol/Ibaka/Boucher

Agree. Ellington and Randolph would be my two ideal pickups imo.

If not Randolph, maybe look into Morris as well. But his neck injury status is unknown
