Dorsey's a gunner.
6'5", modest defense, surprisingly good rebounder.
Can get hot and hit shots like crazy.
Inconsistent, unpolished. More SG than combo guard.
He'll be a decent bench contributor, but won't move the needle very much.

Although the guy's a gunner, I wonder how effective he will be in a half court system? I'm sure it will cause some struggles in terms of adjustments. Has Dorsey had enough burn to determine whether or not he's capable of getting as a playing in the long haul?

No.
In his rookie season, he lit up the G-League. He saw on court improvement in limited NBA PT the second half of his first season.
This year he's been a DNP-CD most games. Completely out of the rotation with the acquisitions of Trae Young, Jeremy Lin and Kevin Huerter.
I think that's why were we willing to trade him way for nothing (we're waiving Mack). He was blocked by other, younger players with us.
NOTE: When he's on, he can light up the scoreboard. But it's hard to get on stuck to the bench most days.

Really liked this trade. Free look at Dorsey and JB can't keep turning to Mack even when Mack is having an off game (which happens more often than not).
