Before we had the excuse that JV was a liability on defense but that’s not the case with Gasol.

The dude just got here yesterday with basically no time to learn the playbook, if he comes in hot off of the bench today, I doubt Nurse is going to limit his minutes. Most coaches in Nurse's shoes would probably do the same thing.

It's not a big deal unless Nurse is truly afraid of benching Serge.

He's barely had a single practice ffs lol it's gives him a second to get a feel without disrupting the flow of the starters until he knows a bit more about the sets we're running. Sure he'll start after the ASB.

For now he'll add some much needed scoring off the bench and reduce the amount of times FVV gets swatted at the rim.

25 games which is really maybe 16 or 15 that we’ll have if you consider some games Lowry and Kawhi will miss.

I don't mind Gasol coming off the bench. First game with new teammates and he's essentially had a walkthrough of simple plays and terminology.

Come later on he'll start once he's assimilated. No need to get twisted over 1 game. Just be happy he's even playing.

I think it might better off for him to come off the bench initially. You want to see how he can handle being the focus on defense.
