Doncic and Tatum have a naturally good shooting mechanics, its a fundamental part of their game even before joining the NBA. Barrett has one of the worst shooting mechanics of all the prospects in 2019.

I don't think Barrett is a good NBA prospect, but if he does end up being a decent player, he will take years to develop, unlike Doncic and Tatum whose fundamentals were already solid even before getting drafted.

Rui has a strong fundamental game. I like that very much.

I wasn't too high on him last year, but he's grown on me. He'll have trouble guarding quicker sf, but they won't be able to handle him on the other end.

Culver still scares me. His foot speed and explosiveness are not on par for my liking. Think Nets Joe Johnson but without the ball handling talent and range on the jumpshot.
Hachimura reminds me of David West

I called him a Kenyon Martin clone. Some don't agree but when he was at Cincinnati, he had these moments.
i can see where you are coming from too. That’s actually a really good comp. I think Hachimura has a little bit more to offer offensively but the comp definitely fits.

Haven't seen much of BF or Bassey bit I'm leaning towards the latter. Born October 20, 2000 (age 18). He fits the 3 basics I look for in a big: rebounding, block shots, and ft shooting. He's bigger and taller than Fernando while being 2 years younger.

Even shows the ability from deep. I think it was mistake not acquiring the Houston pick.

New NBA draft net mock has us taking Cam 5th overall and Bassey 12th? Anyone enlighten us on Bassey’s game? Is he that defensive center we are looking for to cover up some JCollins defensive errors?

They have guys all over the place. My most accurate comp to CB is a 7ft. Spellman. From shooting to defensive prowess.

Just turned 18 in October so he could still be growing considering he's of Nigerian descent. His team is on a hot streak and should make the tourney.

I like this kid a lot...I’ll say mainly for pedigree but he hustles and has talent. I’d like to snag him at some point. Let’s keep nephew Deke in the fam!

It’s actually a perfect fit defensively next to Collins!

Profile on Doumboya from last year's BWB camp:

Sekou Doumboya, F, France

Height:
6’9” | Weight: 210 | Draft-eligible: 2019

Born in Guinea, Doumboya moved to France as a child and helped lead the team to gold as one of the younger prospects at the U18 Euros in 2016. Perhaps the best all-around athlete among this year’s BWB campers, Doumboya is tracking as an early first-round selection for next year’s draft. Possessing a rare combination of power and skill, he plays above the rim with ease, throwing down explosive two-handed slams and gathering quickly in space off one or two feet. When attacking downhill, there were few players who could stay in front of him. Despite lacking great change of direction due in part to his handle, Doumboya’s burst got it done in this setting. His lean, strong frame should be able to fill out, and he was arguably the top prospect at the camp.

Doumboya displayed nice shooting touch and a soft, easy release on the perimeter
that looked consistent all weekend. He has considerable upside in that area, and while right now it’s more of a set shot, he has the requisite body control to develop into a capable shooter on the move. His developing handle and passing skills suggest he could play either forward position down the road. He’s instinctive reading the ball off the glass and may be best suited as a mismatch-type small-ball four in the NBA, and defended quite well on the perimeter when locked in. Doumboya was noticeably among the more vocal campers, as well.

He told the Front Office he patterns his game after Paul George. The hype appears to be warranted.

I don't think Barrett is a good NBA prospect, but if he does end up being a decent player, he will take years to develop, unlike Doncic and Tatum whose fundamentals were already solid even before getting drafted.

This pic looks slightly less awkward. And the stat line is undeniably impressive.

29. San Antonio Spurs (via TOR) — Bruno Fernando, Maryland

Fernando helped himself by going through the draft process last year, going to the combine, getting feedback and implementing it into his game. He’s turned into a terrific defensive rebounder, a solid passer for a big man and a threat as a rim protector. It also helps that he continues to flash the outlines of a solid 16-foot jumper. Given his terrific 14.6 points, 10.3 rebounds, two assists and two blocks a game, my bet is he’ll go higher on draft day than he’ll be placed on my board.

Defensively, he needs to keep fine-tuning his ability to move his feet in space and react to what’s happening around him in rotation on defense. But he’s also known as a tremendous, insatiable worker who continually tries to improve his game. There’s certainly reason to bet on him figuring it out.

It's like the kid can do everything except shoot from deep.
