1. Trade 3 young potential stars (Ingram, Lonzo, Kuzma)
2. Give up 2+ FRPs
3. Take on salary
4. Add vet fillers (Rondo, Lance,KCP)

To this NO asked for 4FRPs and SRPs.

For Boston to beat that, they will have to give up Tatum, Brown, Rozier plus 4 FRPs then add Hortford or Morris (not useless Hayward) while taking back Solomon at a minimum.

Will Ainge do this for a possible rental and gut their team’s future?

Potential star Kyle Kuzma who is a 4 that can't defend or shoot from 3. Potential star Lonzo who is about to miss at least 50 games through his first 2 season and shoots 45% from the freethrow line. Ingram has the potential, no doubt, but he's far from there. Plus what the hell are 2 FRPs when the Celtics could easily offer 4, or beat those two in value by a lot with just the Mem pick?

Around the merry go round we go, this is the exact exchange for this entire thread.

LAL cheerleaders overrating their stars, BOS drunks thinking Tatum and **** get it done, LAL homers rebutting w 22 game splits & potential, BOS white trash hanging hats on a poff run and delusionally thinking Rozier has any value.

Glad this rivalry didn't have the internet decades ago, it's pathetic

Boston would be stupid enough to trade their young stars for AD, their future is bright. Okc did it with Pg13 because they got nothing to lose. I have a feeling pelican is going to be lowball in the summer.

To add to this. OKC traded Oladipo(whom at the time was looking like a bust) and a rookie Sabonis. That's nothing compared to what we are expecting Boston to trade.

If Davis comes out and says he'll only sign an extension with the Lakers we are screwed.

After almost 500 votes, crazy to think Ainge will overpay to NO. When has that been Ainge’s M.O.?

Ainge will not take back Solomon unless NO takes Hayward. Ainge will not give Tatum, Brown, Smart, Rozier plus fillers and 3 FRPs. Not even close.

Huge night for Kuzma. 27 points in the early 3rd quarter.

Ingram showing all-around game.

Zubac continues to do well with playing time with Clippers.

NO going to regret not taking the offer seriously.

Make that 36 points in the 3rd quarter for Kuzma.
Ingram with a solid 15/4/4 so far too.

NO could have had 27 points and 13 rebounds, Ingram’s stats tonight in the win over Houston. Plus, Kuzma, Lonzo, Zubac and Hart plus 2-3 FRPs.

You better believe they messed up HUGE!!

If Ainge doesn't overpay for AD then he's not getting AD.

And what of recent history has proven this to be true? Nobody overpays for a superstar in the last year of their contract. Kawhi Leonard AND Danny Green was just traded for DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl.

But you think Danny Ainge (Danny Ainge!) is going to give up everything? Not happening.

Are you really gonna pick the best statline from every game to try to prove a point that doesnt matter since they rejected it anyhow? Its obvious they just dont wanna clone a Lebronless Lakers team cause even that with Lebron is barely making the play-offs.

I dont get what you dont understand here.

The Spurs situation wasn't exactly normal, though. The Raptors didn't get any insurance from Leonard that he'll re-sign there which is why they didn't give up so much to get him.

If Ainge gets insurance that AD will re-sign there then I do expect him to offer NOLA a major haul. If he can't get that insurance then I don't think he goes after him.

The difference here is that AD is much better than PG was at the time. PG at the time was thought of as a top 15-20 player. AD is widely thought of as a top 5 player. You shouldn't trade AD for less than that and you did well to wait until you can have the most possible offers in your hands. Rushing it would have been a huge mistake.
