For the love of god, enuff with mussina!!!!
This guy is trash, I mean 6 runs.. He is a nice guy, but we need to put him in the bull pen, let him do long relief, some set up work, but having him put us in huge holes is ridiculous. he has been on the downslide the last two years.... got damnit, enuff with mussina...
Ok I am done...

I always have liked Moose. It hurts to see one of my favorite players struggling so much. But TKF, he was our best option to sign this past offseason. He was just terrific last year. Nobody could have forseen Mussina being this bad or losing this much velocity.
Mussina is our best option as a #5 starter. Next year is another matter, but there is no way he's moving to the bulllpen. Who's a better option this year? We are going to have to deal with the ups and downs of an old Moose now.
We can only hope for a better year next year.

the truth hurts, its ok
How come you only post when this team is losing? How come you only post negatively about our team? When our team is winning, you don't post here. It gets tiring, Kandi. We all know Mussina has struggled. But he's still the best 5th starter option on this team.

What sickens me is people throw these things out there like move him to long relief when there is NO replacement whatsoever. It pains me to read threads like this because it makes no sense at all. If you want to bash Moose then bash him. Just dont say move him to long relief, bring up a viable option

Is this Mussina's last year or does he have another year (or...good god...two) left on his contract?

He has one more year. He also has 10-5 rights.
So unless he gets absolutely tired of being in NY, he's here for at least another year?

Yes. After you've been in the league for 10 years, and for 5 years with one team, you get 10-5 rights, which is a blanket no trade clause. Unless Moose waives it, he's staying.
