There goes yet another Myth created by this site's conspiracy leaders that greatly exaggerated Dallas' demise after trading that mediocre Harrison Barns. Dallas 102- Portland 101

I watched the game. They were trash for most of the game then PTL went cold and THJ and Doncic got hot. It was like that game we lost in the 4th due to just going cold. I think that was Boston. Portland didn't score a FG in the final 10 minutes

I bet him when they were 23-28 that they wouldn’t win more than 10 games. We never discussed what we were actually betting though...

On Hawksquawk we used to do avatars, but I don't know what we could bet here, since hardly anyone has avatars. Maybe cash app 10 bucks or something. I'm open to suggestions.

Re: Mavs & Cavs Draft Pick Watch
Peachtree HoopsA post-deadline analysis of the NBA Draft pick owed from Dallas to Atlanta
Where is the pick going to land after the Mavericks’ moves at the deadline?
The Atlanta Hawks entered the season with the possibility of having six draft picks in the 2019 NBA draft. At this point, it looks like the most likely outcome will be the team having five draft picks, assuming no other transactions take place that impact the draft after the end of this season.
The Atlanta Hawks entered the season with the possibility of having six draft picks in the 2019 NBA draft. At this point, it looks like the most likely outcome will be the team having five draft picks, assuming no other transactions take place that impact the draft after the end of this season.
To analyze where the Mavericks’ record might end up at the end of the season and, as such, where their draft pick is likely to land, there are several factors to take into consideration.
Do the Mavs want to retain the pick and thus be motivated to lose games during the remainder of the season? Do they think they can chase a playoff spot?
Dallas ended play on Sunday evening four games out of the No. 8 seed in a crowded Western Conference. It’s also important to consider that they would need to surpass three teams by the end of the season to secure even the last spot in the playoffs.
Prior to play on Sunday, ESPN’s BPI model projected the Mavericks to win 38 games and finish tied for the ninth-worst record.
The model used by FiveThirtyEight to project records forecasts the Mavericks to win 37 games after the end of play on Sunday. Their model suggests Dallas would land...with the tenth-worst record in the league.
The bottom line is that it’s likely that the Hawks retain the pick, but the road to where that pick lands will be bumpy...

Signature bets were the stakes for most bets around here in years past.
Winner gets to write up the losers signature block for a calendar year. (No profanity or explicit language/visuals.)

I'd take Jamaal's suggestion for what it means on the site and do anything else you guys want to do outside of any site you want to post on. Not highly probable that an investigation on gambling on the site gets triggered but if it did it would get ugly for everyone which is why we prohibited cash and similar bets on the Squawk. Plus it is more fun for the rest of us to see the new signature block with your embarrassing internet equivalent of:

Id prefer a money bet over a signature, but either way is fine.

I’d imagine PMs can be subpoenaed too. Due to the nature of our current cultural climate, I would hate for a petty bet to derail anything I’ve got going on in the future. People like to dig stuff up nowadays lol.

Yeah - just a step function better to have it not publicly facing. It isn't like someone can't get access to PMs through a court proceeding though which is why I am suggesting to simply exchange contact info if you guys want to talk about any other options along that line.
Posted too long with you guys to sit by silently when you guys could take steps to protect yourselves in choosing what you want to do and/or how you do it.

Thanks bro. Small time gambling is so normalized that it’s easy to forget that it’s still against the law.Atlanta Hawk Fan wrote:EazyRoc wrote:Atlanta Hawk Fan wrote:

NP. Like I said, it isn't likely to ever get on someone's radar but no reason to set yourself up if it ever does.
