2. Knicks created enough cap space to sign him and another star player
3. Knicks didn't buyout his close friend, DeAndre Jordan

Good possibility. He wants to be close to Maryland and this move makes too much sense. I think the office makes it 60+% chance he moves to big apple.

davis + kd in nyc? = hmmmmm. the impetus for this of course is klutch/lebron managed davis poorly and he's looking at alternatives. he'll get the validation he seeks in nyc and without having to deliver a ring

I could see it, but i think it requires the warriors to win the title first (i mean it is a forgone conclusion though it will happen).

Then the warriors go back to their original 3 (Steph, Klay, Green), DMC signs a max elsewhere, Durant goes to the knicks to revive that franchise and perhaps save his legacy (same way Lebron did in Cleveland).

His company (and his agent) have always been based in NYC. They simply moved from one building to another. It's a non-story. That article talking about moving was clickbait.

That being said, I think KD going to the Knicks is a done deal. There is no way the Knicks would've moved their best asset just to clear more cap space if they didn't get an assurance he was coming.

And really, look at it from a Warriors perspective. Plenty of stars want to move because they were stuck in what was perceived as a situation where they couldn't win. This isn't the case here. The Warriors put him in a position to win 2 Finals MVPs. They've given the best platform to win. Yet KD has still refused to commit long term.

Suffice to say, winning isn't the issue to KD, or at least it no longer is because he now has 2 championships and 2 Finals MVPs. He can scratch that off his list. He's pretty much now in Lebron mode, where he wants to build his brand and shape his post playing career in a large and influential media market.
