Yeah If he thinks that Mr.Unreliable piece (which got under his skin and his mother's skin) in OKC was bad he hasn't seen anything yet until that NY media rips him.

I just want to watch guys like Zion, Andre, Tre Jones , Draymond and Steph play the team game..I have no interest at all in watching the narcissistic types play hoops

KD ducked out of post game interviews after the Philly game and the Lakers game.

Philly game was right after the Knicks made the trade and all this talk about him signing with them this summer ramped up.

Lakers game, you had a lot of Lakers fans at Oracle yelling "We want KD" in addition to doing the same chants about Klay.

He may be gone but on the consolation side, he will be 31 at the end of September so may not the worst thing in the world if the Warriors don't have to give him a deal where they would be paying around $50 million for a 36-year old KD.

That's before luxury taxes too.

Oh well, they may not win a ring again if he leaves, since the Warriors don't have the depth or the cap space for another season or two.

Their core is aging too.

No matter what happens, it will have been a great run.

I hope GSW fans won't hate on KD if he leaves. I mean if he leaves after winning 3 titles, fans should really be grateful for such amazing run no matter what. As Klay said, they will be brothers no matter at the end of the day. This great run won't be forgotten. They should enjoy every moment before it ends.

I'm grateful. No way we win the last two without him.

KD is a man who is still figuring himself out. It makes sense he tries different things imo. It makes perfect sense. If NYC gives him more happiness than he currently has, then by all means he should do it. He could easily regret it of course but that's life I think. You make risky decisions that either pay off or backfire eventually. He could play it very safe all the way and stay forever with GSW but maybe that would be really boring for him. Winning all time maybe won't give him the happiness he is looking for. Or maybe he is the type of person who regrets not trying new things in general? Who knows. Happiness differs from person to person obviously. It's a combination of different aspects of one's life and career success is just one aspect. The big difference between him and Steph is that Steph is already a family man and he already feels fully fulfilled in GSW in ALL aspects of his life. He doesn't feel the need to experience a new thing or drastically change something in his life. KD is in a different place on the other hand. However, they both share great love for the sport, amazing work ethic and they are amazing professionals on the court. So similar in terms of basketball work-ethic and on-court professionalism yet so different in other aspects of their lives.

Regardless of what happens, I'm positive KD's decision will not affect the relationship they have built together. They will wish the best for each other if he decided to leave.

Appeared for post game press conference for the first time in 3 games.

It’s not clear if him missing the press conferences in the 2 previous games led to speculation and articles which upset him or if there was some article that pissed him off into not sitting for questions after the previous 2 games.

He named Ethan Strauss for mak8ng up stuff — he didn’t talk to anyone but wrote some story KD evidently didn’t like.

Again, did that story come before KD decided to skip the post game sessions or did it come after he had skipped them?

He was surly, accused the reporters of twisting what he said. Said he only wants to come to the gym, play as best as he can, then leave. Of course, he triggered all this season-long speculation about his free agency by sign8ng only a 1 year deal and then giving interviews at the start of the season about how he was going to go thru this free agency process.

He’s the one who made it a thing.

I’m wondering if he was similarly aloof and evasive at OKC his last year there.

Says he doesn’t know anything about the Knicks.

Fine, he can sign with them if he wants but if he thinks the media in NY will be easier to deal with, he’s kidding himself.

LA has a big media market too. Wherever he goes, national media will follow him too, especially if he leaves.

He’s going to have to hire some PR people to write up something nice in the Players Tribune announcing that he’s leav8ng.

I would guess he’ll announce a short list of teams he’ll meet with to take their pitches like last time.

This stuff is going to drive you crazy. Through this thread you probably have posted 20 different theories.

NY media will love him for the first 2 years though, esp the first. They go from a garbage team to likely a contender (I assume Kyrie joins him and possibly more FA)

Nothing about this speculation is BS. People who pretend that KD has zero chance of moving to the Knicks need to get their head out of the sand.

Him moving the HQ to NY does give a feeling to have his guys get the ground work up, set up the right contacts and potential opportunities, and when the season is over in Jun/July, everything is ready and he can start looking at deals in NY.

All we can do is stay as the best basketball option for him, which Lacob has said recently that we can and we will pay for it. There are articles already written that we can afford a $300m payroll which includes KD and Klay and Green’s big deals and taxes, so I won’t get into it again.

If basketball is not his most important criteria moving forward, he can go and I won’t have any hard feelings.

If he does move forward, I hope he doesn't crap all over the Warriors after he left. I would like to think with Curry and Klay, I can't see a reason for him to do it. But with Draymond, it is a possibility. I have no idea what he thinks of the Warriors ownership and front office.

Don't let the door hit tcha in the butt Durant ;)

Nah....no hate. My desire is for the Warriors to retool and show they can win it without him. :) Make this the Splash Brother's team again....:)

Very hard to retool with only low draft picks, the MLE, and minimum salaries to work with.

Pretty much. The Warriors built the squad on the rookie contracts of Klay, Draymond, and Barnes, along with was probably was the greatest rookie extension contract in NBA history with Curry. They don't have that cap luxury now, and the results of their drafting after 2012 has been abysmal (Looney being the one exception).

I had hoped we were going to be more classy than OKC were, although i do question the true allegiances of some who are posting anti-KD stuff on GSW forums. Particularly after a threepeat which is still well in prospect he will have given GSW much, it is his choice if he wishes to try something different, he will go with my thanks and no bitterness.

Sure, but that is a choice GSW management made/a risk they ran in recruiting Durant, whom they chased very hard, and not his problem should he choose to make another change.
