I just laugh at the notion that he's to somehow "enhance" his legacy by leading a Knicks team to a 7th or 8th seed, get bounced in the 1st round, and it'll somehow be better than winning more rings. Sure, whatever helps people sleep at night I guess.

If the Knicks actually do get KD, you assume someone like Kyrie is probably coming with him. KD isn't likely to be coming here by himself. Then, if they trade for an AD, then that isn't a 7th-8th seed team and a 1st round exit lol

If he goes to the Knicks it will be with another star player such as Kawahi or Kyrie. Add the #1 pick and you have a contender.

I have always liked that trade from the Knicks' perspective. To the point I consider Knicks won that trade.

Thats my point too, but the forum and the media said that Dallas won by miles :o

What stud is joining him tho? Kawhi prob hates KD lowkey, Butler/tobias will re-up, Kyrie is "engaged" to boston , klay will re-up . Really only leaves AD but that package would be 100 % dependent on Zion , even then its pretty weak . I think he resigns with GSW

He gets butthurt over the media and you think he won’t get roasted in NY?

You can say that for every team wth cap space every year. When has that really come into fruition?

So perhaps the Knicks are gonna offer their pick for AD? As long as it ain't Zion. Then target Kyrie + KD

A lot of C's fans aren't sure that Kyrie will end up staying, though.

And if the Knicks can at least get a top 3 pick, then they'll be fine (even if they don't get the #1 pick and Zion).

I actually do think KD is heading there, but it's 100% including that sweet super-max.

What super-max is that? Any team can offer him the same as they would any other 10+ year FA, 4yr/$160M (about). The Warriors can offer 5yr/$200+M.

Warriors can offer 221million.

I'm not disputing you, but I'm curious how you came up with that number. With a projected cap of $109M, 35% x 5 years is 190.7M. 8% raises for 4 years (on the first year salary only, they don't compound) is 12.2M. Total comes to about $203M, rounded off. Where is the extra $18M coming from?

If I were a betting man I'd probably live in a dumpster by now. But I think this is how it will play out this summer.
1. If GS wins, KD resigns to try for the 4-peat+
2. If GS loses, KD signs with Jerry West or NY AFTER they sign Kawhi and/or AD. I do think the Clips are ahead of NY because of West. My preference would obviously be GS but if not I hope he goes East.

It's possible, sure.

I'll believe it when I see it.

The raise amount doesn't compound, but it is additive. Assume the 8% raise for the second season is $3M. The third season would be the second season + $3M . The fourth season would be the third season + $3M. The fifth season would be the fourth season + $3M. That's how you get to 5/221.

He gets butthurt at the media while being the 2nd best player in the league with two finals MVPs to his credit. This overrating of the NY media having a true effect on these guys has to stop. Marc Berman and Stefan Bondy aren't going to cause KD to have nightmares.

I think it'll come down to either the Warriors, Clippers or Knicks. Outside candidates are the Nets or returning to OKC

Take away 100% from your 110% and then we're talking realistic odds.
