Philly fans flooding the Celtics' board game thread faster than the snowballs they threw when they booed Santa Claus in the 1970s at an Eagles game

You need to make a Tommy Heinsohn jersey specifically just for Sixers games.

Russell though.

For the Sixers. We've been whooping up on them for years. They HAVE to win this one on their home floor with Kyrie out. Anything less will be embarrassing

Their regulars already humiliated themselves enough after all that trash talk before we sent them home last year.

Wow, you would think Philly had won... anything? Something?
I could understand them needing to wipe themselves off if they had just won the championship or even the Eastern Conference given how long its been but this response to a regular season game (that hasn't even been played yet) is a bit embarrassing.
Try to act like you have been here before.

Think back to last year. These guys were hoisting a championship banner around this time because they think that's how it works here in the Atlantic division.

Was ready to fire back, but I listened to this song....

I can't even fire back. You just embarrassed yourself thinking this song is something to be proud of.

On the mid season? With Kyrie resting? And our team in disarray? No one fears your team. Go homejoelabec wrote:The Celtics are returning to their mean. They are not quite as good as the end of last year's run. Definitely not as bad as they have looked at times this year. Talent wise, don't see 1 position in the starting 5 where I would choose a Celtic. On offense, the Sixers no longer have any weak links. On defense, they are too long and strong and not even a cohesive unit yet. LOL
They are winning on talent alone right now. And share the ball better than most teams in the league. Bench has acquired more reliable veterans & improved at the backup center (Boban) wing position (J Simmons & J Ennis) & power forward (Mike Scott) positions. They are not world beaters but can hold the fort enough, as they were not getting much of anything before from the bench, offensively or defensively.
Right now, it's hard to get a big run on this team, as there are 2 all stars types on the floor at all times. Basically, they take turns scoring and distribute the wealth pretty evenly because they will exploit your weakness as the game develops. I see a somewhat tight game here til half time. Sixers pull away by end of game with a 15 point victory. This will be a demoralizing loss for the Celtics. You will learn tonight that things are different now in the Eastern Conference.
