I'm all in on SGA's cousin and best friend Nickeil Alexander-Walker. If we don't end up trading the pick I hope he's there when the team is on the clock.

There should always be a Walker in Charlotte.

I like him too, but if Bol Bol is there I feel we will take the risk.

Hey guys, I am back with another update and probable final for a while. This draft is super deep. There are some great players I added, including Kerwin roach, William Mcdowell White, and all of the top 5 shooting guards on my list.

I think we should trade back because most of these players should still be available late.

This guy is Gerald Wallace 2.0. Almost the same hairdo and everything. Their games are almost identical. This must be his son lol. I hope we consider him in the second round. He has so much potential. There are soooooooooooo many possible gems in this draft. Very deep.

What do you think about Kevin Porter Jr UNCNYC?

He's got some attitude red flags (not surprising considering what happened to his father), but it's rare for a guy his size to have the dribbling ability he has. He's a boom or bust guy, but for a team in the position the Hornets are in that's exactly the type of player Mitch should be looking for.

Go TAR HEELS lol. Of course, and everytime I watch him play (especially last game against Miami which is the college my first true love graduated from) he played awesomely.

Sometimes I think he could be top 5 in this draft. The thing is there is so much talent here. You have other pg's like kerwin roach and Nickeil Alex.-Wal. who will probably go late and end up just as good or better. Also a guy like Jalen Lecque could end up good. There are just so many holes we can fix in this draft.

It might be a good idea to trade kemba and pick a good pg in this draft.

We can change our whole starting lineup in this draft with quality players...

By trading kemba and drafting ROACH, Brandon Clarke, and Darius Bazley.

Then brining in Jalen McDaniels (if he falls out of the draft) and of course one of these will fall out of - A.J. Reeves , John Petty Jordan Poole, Matisse Thybulle, Jarrey Foster, Josh Reaves

Future lineup

PG - ROACH, or NICKEIL
SG - REEVES, PETTY, POOLE ETC...
SF - BAZLEY
PF - MCDANIELS
C - CLARKE

and we have picks for the future with the kemba trade and pick up an additinal pick by trading 16 this year.

He got drafted by New Orleans but opted to play overseas for whatever reason... I liked his game A LOT in summer league. He has had good games overseas so far.

When you go out on a limb like I do, it doesn't necesarily mean you are wrong in saying that the talent you have chosen is not as good as a popular choice, or even in some cases BETTER. I say that because when you choose a guy who is not as popular coming into the draft, that guy has to work twice as hard, because more than likely the team is not going to be SOLD on him yet.

When teams choose their first rounders etc... they often overlook a second rounder, or guys in summer league...

I still feel if given a chance again Tony Carr is just as good as the many BUST so far... that were chosen ahead and given opportunities in the league so far. The NBA is all about opportunity not just talent.

Tony Carr was not the player I would have chosen. I would have chosen, zhaire smith and yuta watanabe.

To be honest I would LOVE to have Tony Carr here right now over 90 percent of the other pg's taken and given opportunity over him in last years draft

This article has the Hornets picking at 2 in the 2020 draft and number 1 in 2021. The picks are Anthony Edwards and Jalen Green respectively.

https://www.thesportster.com/basketball/projecting-top-picks-of-next-three-nba-drafts/1/?v=4

Jalen Green especially would be a dream come true. After Zion he seems to be the most likely player with both the drive and talent that is needed to turn around a franchise.

Since you speak of future drafts and since BWB will occur in Charlotte, here an articleby Givony about this.

Oumar Ballo was impressive during last world championship U17 (not very tall but really tough down low and very good rebounder). France will have K. Hayes (former eurobasket U16 mvp) who would be a combo guard in the nba and Mathieu Gauzin (from my hometown club junior team, combo guard too, a bit turnover prone but really a good scorer).
Missing Maledon and Cazalon (the 1st could be a lottery pick, he is performing really well in his 1st season as a pro with Asvel).

I guess wigness is another aussi with aborigen roots who is also pretty interesting (unlike Mills he has good defensive skills despite his size)

Missing some of the turkish best prospects in the list (Sengun even though he has not really a nba body, but they have another one who seems to be more promising nba wise; forgot his name).

bunch of names/players i dont know though.

Update: Hey guys I think it's safe to say that Coby White should be considered the best PG available in this draft. He
has been ballin as of late. I also added in a few players but none of any real impact I don't think. The major jump is
who I consider to be Gerald Wallace 2.0. That player is Jalen Mcdaniels. I actually ranked him over Zion. I did so
with the upmost respect for Zions game and potential but Jalen has quite a bit of his own. He is bigger, and seems to be
a better defender and a better shooter. Also runs the floor well. I like his pentential.

I wish our current lineup consisted of

Kemba / Roach or Nickeil
Zhairre / whichever sg falls to us in my top 8 of this years draft
YuTa / Pinson
Mcdaniels / Marvin
Brandon Clarke / Zeller

NOTE - a team with Bol Bol, Kemba, Zhairre, Roach and YuTa woulda been extremely marketable

Ya know, I had nearly stopped coming here all together just because of the crushing pessimism....But then I remembered UNCNYC's manic in an opium den draft hot takes....and I am subscribed.

Hope is the antidote to pessimism.

Its hard to be optimistic man, I try every season, but look at our team history. We are right there with the Detroit Lions... I don't want to spend my entire adult life following a team that constantly has bleak futures and never gets far in the playoffs the few times we make it. How fatlever and some of the guys in their 40's still follow this team is beyond me
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Jalen Green will be drafted by the Hornets. We just gotta believe...

that the NBA is corrupt and occasionally rigs the draft.

It would also be a savvy, cutthroat business move to do it at the same time as the elimination of the 1 and done rule. Shift some Duke/UNC fan attention to the Hornets with their new star player. The Hornets really shouldn't be the 28th most valuable franchise, NC is a better market than that.

Just to confirm, are you all talking about a high schooler right now?
