I wish LA would buy out Rondo.
playoff Rondo is what this team needs.

I love Rondo as much as the next guy, but I'm not too sure his attitude would be the best thing for the locker room. Plus, LA isn't buying him out.

Go out and get Markieff and call it a day.

Problem is that the Celtics can't send him back to NO in a AD trade. So they would then need to get a 3 way trade going.

If you can get Kanter to agree to 2 years then he's the guy.

Because Markieff has a great attitude in the locker room...?

Give me Rondo and Markieff.

Rondo/Smart/Marcus/Markieff/Baynes

Badass lineup, we will not score a single point, but there will be blood on the floor for sure !

Speaking of lively locker rooms, whoa--I completely missed this little tidbit:

https://slackiebrown.com/delonte-west-pops-up-at-george-mason-basketball-game/

Maybe this could be the super-vet Danny signs for Kyrie with the last available roster spot.

(And might JB's mom be lonely since Jabari B. got traded?)

((And this is of course a very good and decent move on the C's part if they've put him on their scouting staff.))

Pretty sure the Rondo ship has sailed out of the airport.

Good to hear that Delonte is alive and seemingly doing quite well while working as a scout for the C's.....If pictures tell a story, he's looking great....and bigger deal is he's still involved with the game that he loves...Keep it up Delonte! :)

This is a pipe dream, but one I'm happy to indulge in with you! Playoff Rondo was a joy to behold. And, as he just demonstrated to us, the man still has game.

Jackie Mac, on the latest podcast with Windhorst, mentioned that Marcus Morris has been a good soldier for the Celtics this year because of how they've helped him with his mental health issues. And let's not forget how the Celtics helped Keyon Dooling out when he had that PTSD episode caused by sexual abuse. For all the talk about the Celtics not being a loyal team, it appears to me that the Celtics are leading the league with regards to helping out players with mental health issues.

I think they've had a pretty good record over the decades finding jobs in the organization for their past players too. That probably was even more of a help when their pensions and salaries weren't nearly as good as they are now.

Yup. Leon Powe immediately comes to mind. When Danny drafted him, he knew that Powe would have a short career because of how bad his knees were, but he took him anyways because he was so good. I was thrilled that the team found a spot for him after his career ended.

I've got a feeling that if IT's Brinks truck never arrives, Wyc and co. would find a job for IT somewhere in the organization. Probably as a community ambassador, the same position Jojo White had with the team.

Could totally see IT in a role like that after his career is over.

It seemed to me that Danny was maybe sending a message to Kanter's camp when he said they needed someone who would be okay with limited minutes -- and weren't in a hurry until they found such.

Yes, IT would be great at that. I also remember how impressed the organization was when Powe took the time to write personal thank you notes to every worker in the clubhouse after his rookie year.
