Al is a superstar. Unquestionable one for me and those with similar perspective to me.

He's not opting out of $30mil to sign for a contract that would make sense for us at this time.
I could see him opting out but signing another max-type deal for some unsuspecting suitor just for the security of longterm contract. But that would be an overpay and would not make sense for us at this time. You don't (near)max-out roleplayers.
No, he is not s star or superstar. Stahhp, Supes
You are not thinking! Al makes perfect sense for us.
He covers all of our pain points.
He makes everyone around him better.
He will make Collins and Trae look like superstars next year.
He is PERFECT for us.
Worth every f$#*ng penny.
He is a superstar. I don't know how many times I got to tell you this.
I see impact as what's most important and there is no center in the NBA as impactful as Al.
That includes Jokic and Embiid.
Talent is great, impact is vital.
He does more for winning than any other big not named AD when motivated.
He took a team with a 2nd year player, a rookie, a center worse than Dedmon, the worse Morris, and a Dennis level PG to one game of the NBA Finals.
Took the least damn talented team in the NBA to 60 wins and took a 5'7 PG to the ECF. This man is a **** myth. Bring him the **** back!
All his teams are sum-of-the-parts winners. You can't overly credit him for the results. If that 5'7" pg wasn't having an mvp-caliber year, doesn't matter what Al did/didn't do.
I don't disagree that he's the type of player that would elevate what we've got going on. However, NBA economics don't dictate that it's advisable for us to pay him what it would take to get him to opt out of that $30mil.
That's the logic HOU used to sign Paul which is turning out to be a spectacular blunder. That team doesn't even need him yet they're on the hook for that albatross of a contract.

Sum of parts only works due to him.
That's the part you don't understand. They win due to Al. Without Al, they don't win.
**** the economics! You want economics. Who the **** can make our core pieces into stars or superstars while covering their flaws? Just one player, that is Al Horford unless you think AD or Leonard is coming which I don't and know not happening.
I'll rather pay 30 million to Horford and have Trae and Collins perform on an All NBA level. That's the biggest no brainer of all time.
30 million is only as good as the impact and value the said player is providing. If Al makes these other guys elite. What the **** do I care if he is overpay. He is doing the damn job we paid him for. Make the youngin GREAT!. Make Cam Reddish the next star. Make Kevin the next star. Win a lot of games with a bunch of kids who are still suppose to be in college. That's what I want. A dynasty. **** I look like wanting a slow **** process that might never work when there is an option to win now without rushing the kids on some LeBron bad fit ****.

If they're stars, they'll be stars with Al at C or with Ricky Bobby at C.

Ideally, I would prefer to pair Collins and Gobert in the front court.
