The league should consider bringing in outside talent for the dunk off, with the 3PT revolution the league is undergoing; we're seeing less hyper athletic, highflying wings. Just seemed like there was an abundance of them in the 2000's, Carter really set the bar high; the closest I've seen since then was Lavine. Hopefully, Zion is able to bring some excitement back to it next year.

No need to bring in outside talent with Zion coming in hehe.

You should be able to drop your worst dunk score in every round. That way, guys take more risks.

Yea def, Zion would be the saving grace considering how bad it's been the past couple years. It wouldn't have hurt them to bring outside talent for those down years, there's way better dunkers outside the league.

The NBA all-star weekend is a dog-and-pony show for stakeholders/sponsors/partners of the NBA. There's no way the NBA would bring in outside talent. They want to feature their players and their players only.

Don't think it was poorly run.

Nothing you can do about the guys you can get to participate.

Just hope there are some freak athletes like Lavine and Gordon on the way

Yea peoples expectations are absolutely ridiculous, enjoy the moment its just a dunk contest. People take it way to seriously, its just for fun.

Diallo was pretty good, better than a lot of the past years. Rest of the guys were trash though.

He’s not retiring yet. He and Pau Gasol will get theirs next year.

Wait why did the coaches choose wade and dirk? Who cares if they are retiring they are not good anymore. Takes away from good players like Spicy Salmon Roll. NBA is dumb.

They didn’t get voted in. Adam Silver added a special 13th roster spot and added them to this year’s game.

Wade and Dirk have publicly announced it's their last season while VC has publicly stated he isn't done.

Also Wade and Dirk are on a different level from Vince legacy wise.

Thats because Wade and Dirk are NBA Champions. Carter has accomplished absolutely NOTHING in his 22 years in the NBA. The guy will go down as a Dunk contest winner as his only NBA accolade. The guy never showed any ambition or drive or heart to try and win a ring. He was content being lazy his entire career relying on his talent alone. And where did that get him? Even these last few years he's chosen to wollow in obscurity on perennial lottery teams because he can't take the pressure of the spotlight on a contender trying to win a Chip.

Wow imagine putting in all that work just to come off the bench for a guy with one of the lowest IQ in the league who's chilling in the Bahamas right now.

No need to that ugly “N” logo if they have the red stripe with New Balance on it
