This is boogie’s last chance at a bag.

Yup. He'll collect his ring, rehab his body and image a bit (to the extent the image matters, probably not) and go get paid somewhere. The GSW will continue to search for some random undervalued big(s) to plug in at C. Boogie fell into their laps, but they aren't sacrificing a cent of cap space to retain him. Look at the C's during their run: Bogut - sort of injury riddled at that point, but GSW liked what they saw for 20 mpg, Biedrens, Speihts, Ezeli, J Thompson,McGee, Varejo, Zaza

So, they try for an undervalued but still has "a bit left" and/or a really old, useful for a handful of minutes vet, like Varejo, Zaza. The last being typical of a deep playoff team, even now, I guess.

I'd see which cheap, decent, 20 mpg sorts of C's shake loose in FA and one or two of those guys will be the C for the GSW. Brook Lopez and ?

yep. all of this.

i think boogie has done a lot to rehab his image. GSW has been effusive about his positivity and professionalism. i haven't been keeping up with the pulse of that since he's been active. but he looks like a much more mature dude, which is great.

and GSW absolutely doesn't need to spend money on a big-time C. they are a war machine and need something very specific from the role. boogie was a great luxury and opportunity. but it could be any of those guys named before. draymond is the real driver of the frontcourt.

i don't think they bend over backwards to keep draymond. but i also think they will lose a lot if he walks. problem is, the team that pays dray what he wants won't get what GS got out of him. verrry fun conundrum. i wanted dray at his last free agency expecting the decline we're seeing now. KP, melo, and draymond could have been fun times. (team likely wasn't ready. but championship culture/identity could have been installed?)

Dray wants to get paid, but I wonder if he takes less and/or the GSW get creative to retain him - how the contract is structured, and the extract the last 2 useful full time years out of him, then he transitions to still useful player, highly useful culture identity guy playing a more limited role in minutes - sort of Iggy's arc, but Iggy came onto the team as a bench player, but his minutes have trended down with age, yet he is still on the team. Sort of a role model for Dray. Again, he'll want his $, but maybe a way front loaded contract? I'm unaware of cap hold implications etc and won't look them up. I'd assume for the "hold" it's an average. But a contract with a BIG first year, decent 2nd year and smaller 3/4 years would be interesting.

I said this in mitchell robinson thread by mistake about kyrie irving and kevin durant?
When i was at all star practice other day in charlotte kevin durant and kyrie iriving clearly have something plan it either there coming nyc or there tricking us.

what are you basing this on?

From what i saw in person in charlotte the other day, they were little to obvious that they were planning something they were hanging out like they were going to be future teammates at practice. They were playing one on one together like they were going to be future teammates you could tell something was going to happen. Durant went to kyrie old college at duke after all star practice to scout zion.

Either they come here or they don’t. If they don’t I hope add the top 5 pick and we continue to build. Hope for the best but I won’t be shocked. Those 2 definitely looked happy as hell together. Even weird. Super weird when Durant pinched Kyries nipples.

I knew that they were friends but I didn’t know that Durant and Kyrie were in love

These dudes either they trolling or they legit like each other. They both hate the media I wouldn’t be shocked if they were trolling.

KD & Kyrie nipple confirmed!

If you take the N from nipples, the Y from Kyrie and the K from Kevin, you get NYK!

Did you catch how many times KD & Kyrie congratulated Knox & DSJ during their events?!

Anything more than 2 fist bumps confirms KD & Kyrie, but nothing trumps the nipples

Maybe they just want to show the media that they won’t be deterred by the hate ... although if so, that could also still be relevant when they make their decision.

These guys have enough money and power to make things the way they want them.

The Celtics and Warriors have both benefited from free agency. Cry me a river.

New York deserves some greatness. It’s all one big show anyway.

Bondy is so sour because he thinks it’s gonna happen. That’s why the hate is flowing. People — Knicks haters to be precise — see this coming together.

Define “lot” bc anything below 5 fist bumps and that might mean Kyrie knows Knox is on the way out.

He was talking to him about shot selection to drive more on the bench, and kyrie was happy when knox made dunk in second a normal 2 handed jam, in timeout chest bumped like 5 times.

It's all but official that KD and Kyrie will be teaming up together on the Knicks. Now if we can get Adam Silver to freeze that envelope for us...

I don't care either way. I'm just enjoying watching things as they are. I am enjoying watching a GM make sense. No more bad trades. No more giving away picks. No more overpaid...disgruntled...past their prime stars. No more bad money deals. Acquiring assets. Developing youth. Top 5 pick on the way. I could watch this for a few more seasons. Hopefully we land Zion.

If these guys come as FA...cool. Hopefully we land Zion.

May 14th 2019. That's a pretty huge day for us. Ping pong balls will be flying!!! Hope we land Zion!!!

kyle kuzma, on the wiretap, letting people know how most players feel about playing for the premiere teams and why the knicks are a free agent destination for guys like ad.

Kyle Kuzma said he welcomes the scrutiny of playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

"I wouldn’t want it any other way. I want people to talk about me, good or bad. Because if they’re not, you’re not doing something right. I’d rather be talked about bad in L.A. than play in Orlando and not get talked about," said Kuzma.

there it is. sorry orlando.
