People need to relax.

There is nothing torn or seriously wrong with his knee.

This is all precautionary to give him a few more days of rest for the OKC/GSW games. I would then expect him to miss either Orlandor or Chicago games and be ready for Houston.

He will play vs the top teams and rest a little more vs the bottom dwellers

You guys do know the League Office Rejects are scared to death of getting their hands slapped by Dave Silver, right? So they say Jojo has an injury and needs to sit out. You also know that most of these games down the stretch simply do not matter? If they can't beat fringe playoff teams and bottom feeders with Ben and Jimmy and Tobias, there's no point to any of this.

Did Brett say who will replace Embiid in the starting lineup?

is this something you have been told?

is this because they think with so many all star level players now we can beat bad teams with him resting to have him fresh for playoffs?

like.. what changed because we have been running him into the ground for 36 minutes a lot just to beat some bottom dwellers

This is what i've been told.

something with the long break caused a little soreness so they are just giving him another week off.

he'll miss 3 games and be back next week.

If it’s rest he needs. Give embiid as much rest as possible without putting him out of shape when he comes back.

I think the sixers realize the 1 and 2 seed is not obtainable. And it doesn’t matter if sixers get the 3 or 4 seed. They are interchangeable. Indiana has extremely rough March with tons of away games against playoff competitors.

So sixers aren’t losing much ground resting embiid.

I’d prefer sixers get the 4 seed but sixers can beat Indiana as the 5th seed anyways. I just have a hard time seeing them maintaining the 3rd seed with their upcoming schedule.

Milwaukee has no true bigs that can body embiid. If Lopez gets in foul trouble. Milwaukee has a huge problem cause the last thing they want is to have giannis on embiid (see bucks/sixers January mlk 2017 game). Mirotic is even smaller than giannis to try to use against embiid.

It is both the injury/durability concerns and also the fit with Simmons, it is this combo that makes me believe another star that fits better would be the way to go.

Simmons is the one who doesn't fit with anybody, cause he can't shot and kills his team in half court offense. How is this so hard to understand?

I would guess Bolden starts. Boban gets usual 15 minutes off the bench.

I admit I was wrong, I thought he was a super talented kid with zero work ethic, but then he started to try to shoot in some games and realized he is not lazy, he is just being coached wrong and not having a shooting coach is terrible for his progress.
I hated him because I thought he was coasting on talent, not for his play style.

Ben sat out entire year. If u had a broken foot for months. U would at least take standing shots. It’s so obvious he never worked on it. Even this past off season. Ben while improved in the low post. I dunno if it’s something he will ever learn to do consistently. (Shoot the ball spot up jump shot). Cause he’s 6 10. He can make up for a lot of his lack of shooting touch. But he needs to gain more strength if he wants to pound it down low. But risk losing his quickness

Embiid is the best player the Sixers have had since the Doc and Moses teams, and people continually talk about trading him.

It honestly makes me want to read the general board instead of the Sixers board. This board is so emotional and negative.

Troll or not, facts will never be ignored in this age of media narrative. Ben DOES NOT SHOOT, this is a fact. People arguing whether he can or can not shoot, OR, can he learn to shoot?! They ignore the fact HE REFUSES TO SHOOT A BASKETBALL this is something even a 5 year old does :banghead:

Wrong, he has tried to shoot in some games this season, it is not the same as last season, also his turnaround jumper is much improved. To me this is progress and very encouraging.
