If we had 3rd Overall, would keep it or make the Beal deal above ?

If they get Kyrie & Durant, I would keep the 3rd pick and trade DSJ, & the 2nd rd pk for a vet, resign Thomas for vet min.
Would also resign Noah Vonleh & see what the cost to keep DJ. My 3rd pk would be Reddish.

Assuming a Reddish/KD/Kyrie draft and free agency

C-Robinson
PF-Knox
SF-Durant
SG-Reddish/Dotson
PG-Irving/DSJ/Ntilikina

I’m definitely trading DSJ or Frank for a big

Edit: Swapped Reddish and Morant

I used Tankathon to simulate the draft lottery results and they replaced the teams with my teams in the same standings.

The Tankathon results were:

1. Cavaliers (3rd Worst Team At Time Of Simulation)
2. Knicks (2nd Worst Team At Time of Simulation)
3. Suns (1st Worst Team At Time of Simulation)
4. Wizards (7th Worst Team At Time of Simulation)

The Results Using My Standings:

1. Cleveland Cavaliers (3rd Worst)
2. Phoenix Suns (2nd Worst)
3. New York Knicks (1st Worst)
4. Washington Wizards (7th Worst)

NBA Draft Trades (As of Draft Lottery)

(Completed July 1st) Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, 14th Overall Draft Pick, 2020 Memphis Grizzlies Conditional First Round Draft Pick and 2020 Los Angeles Clippers Conditional First Round Draft Pick for Anthony Davis
-Celtics add a superstar in Anthony Davis without totally dismantling their roster and still being able to compete even if Kyrie leaves with Al Horford/Terry Rozier/Jaylen Brown
-The Pelicans will not get a better offer than this from any one else. The ceiling of this offer is just too high if you're going to trade AD either way.

Jrue Holiday and 9th Overall Draft Pick for Tyler Johnson and 2nd Overall Draft Pick
-Suns need a veteran to lead the development of all of their young talent more than another young talent. They add a solid leader that fits well on the court while maintaing a top 10 pick.
-Pelicans add Barrett to Tatum which is a great young wind duo.

Mike Conley for Andrew Wiggins and 11th Overall Draft Pick
-Conley is a solid veteran point guard that could really help take Towns to the next level.
-Wiggins is a super expensive flier during a rebuild around JJJ, but adding a second lottery pick and dumping Conley's contract outgoing makes it worth it.

Taurean Prince (absorbed in TPE) and 5th Overall Draft Pick for 7th Overall Draft Pick and 11th Overall Draft Pick
-Hawks get two picks in addition to the Mavericks pick to give them 3 in the top 11 for Taurean Prince and dropping two spots in the draft.
-Grizzlies add Prince to Wiggins for wing depth, but more importantly they jump the Bulls for Darius Garland.

1. Cleveland Cavaliers - Zion Williamson
2. New Orleans Pelicans (via Phoenix Suns) - R.J. Barrett
3. New York Knicks - Cam Reddish
4. Washington Wizards - Ja Morant
5. Memphis Grizzlies (via Atlanta Hawks) - Darius Garland
6. Chicago Bulls - Romeo Langford
7. Atlanta Hawks (via Memphis Grizzlies) - Nassir Little
8. Atlanta Hawks (via Dallas Mavericks) - Bol Bol
9. Phoenix Suns (via New Orleans Pelicans) - Jarrett Culver
10. Charlotte Hornets - Jontay Porter
11. Atlanta Hawks (via Minnesota Timberwolves) - Sekou Doumbouya
12. Miami Heat - Brandon Clarke
13. Los Angeles Clippers - Jaxson Hayes
14. New Orleans Pelicans (via Sacramento Kings) - De'Andre Hunter

I’m guessing that Boston doesn’t make the AD trade if Kyrie leaves. They would just role with Tatum, Rozier, Brown, Smart, etc....

I thinks the Jrue trade is legit and should happen.

I think the Bucks bring everyone back. Middleton can be in a better situation with Milwaukee than he can with Nets. I think Milwaukee even gives him up to the max.

I think AD is such a singular talent, the Celtics would trade for him regardless and figure the rest out later.

Can the Bucks afford to re-sign every one? I could see them opting for a poor man’s Middleton for less salary

I think tha re-singing everyone is the price to pay for Giannis. You simply have to pay to keep a player of his caliber happy and give him the best chance to win.

I’m already getting ideas for version 2.0...

Possible edits:
If Kyrie is leaving, AD goes to the Knicks
If AD + KD land in NY, the Knicks can’t MAX Kyrie
Kyrie to the Lakers
Cousins to the Hawks
Middleton re-signs in Milwaukee

Here is my final 2018-19 NBA Standings and resulting NBA Playoffs:

2. Golden State Warriors
3. Milwaukee Bucks
4. Denver Nuggets
5. Philadelphia 76ers

23. Dallas Mavericks
24. Washington Wizards
25. Memphis Grizzlies

Rockets over Jazz in seven
Thunder over Trail Blazers in six
Nuggets over Spurs in six
Raptors over Magic in four

Bucks over Pistons in six

Warriors over Rockets in six
Nuggets over Thunder in seven
Raptors over Celtics in six
Bucks over 76ers in seven

As a result, I believe the following coaching changes would be made:

Trail Blazers fire Terry Stotts and hire Stan Van Gundy
-After a first round playoff exit, the Trail Blazers decide to go with more of a coaching veteran.

Spurs Gregg Popovich retires and they hire Ettore Messina
-Once Popovich retires, the Spurs decide to go with Messina who has spent a few years in training.

Lakers fire Luke Walton and hire John Calipari
-LeBron will want Walton out and want his guy in. Calipari helps the Lakers cause in terms of recruiting big name free agents.

Pelicans fire Alvin Gentry and hire Monty Williams
-Monty Williams and the Pelicans have been through a lot since his last head coaching stint there, but he has the right demeanor to lead a rebuild in New Orleans.

Wizards fire Scott Brooks and hire Tony Bennett
-Bennett will instill a defensive culture in the Wizards and teach toughness whether they all out rebuild or simply retool.

Who makes sense in that case? Would they keep Stotts after a Round 1 playoff exit?

I could see the Blazers go after a guy like Jay Wright who is a well respected college coach with ties to USA Basketball. I could see them make a run at Monty Williams who has a history tied to Portland as well as Ime Udoka who also has some Portland ties and comes from the Church of Popovich.

-Knicks at this point would be confident of their ability to make good use of their two MAX slots still remaining in cap space.
-The Wizards won't top this deal for Beal and would have to take it on pure value alone.

4. Mike Conley for Andrew Wiggins and 11th Overall Draft Pick
-Conley is a solid veteran point guard that could really help take Towns to the next level.

-Nets create additional cap space while filling a need with Marvin Williams.
-Hornets likely stretch Crabbe, but take on the extra salary for the chance at an asset.

1. Cleveland Cavaliers - Zion Williamson

that trade makes no sense for the nets. they dont need more cap and Crabbe provides more value as expiring salary filler next season.

Also, Hachimura at 17 is absurd. he is a lock top 7

Some Bucks things:

First off I think it's not realistic to expect the Raptors to finish above the Bucks. The Bucks have two losses less, have the best point differential, are 2-1 in h2h vs. the Raptors and went 16-1 in the last 17 games Giannis played. Tonight's game might impact that so bear with me but the most realistic case is that the Bucks remain first seed.
Secondly if the Bucks want to resign Middleton they will. During the break there were a lot of interviews regarding Middleton and Giannis and it became quite apparent that Middleton wants to stay (will also want to get paid though). There are luxury tax implications but the Bucks have their FRP come draft night and can drop Ersan/Snell with it.

I would love to see GS and TOR lose those free agents and come back to the pack.
BOS losing Kyrie would do the same to them.

Sad thing would be having to listen to NY and LAL homer fans as their teams actually become good again.

Also - would be cool to see LAC battle to the top. Klay and Kawhi would be super solid - and super mellow.

I literally just went through every remaining game on http://www.playoffpredictors.com to come up with the standings.

Which team would take Ersan and/or Snell for the Bucks 1st?

With missing out on the top 3 for the hawks and not being able to grab Zion, RJ, or Reddish. Then picking up another top 10 pick for Prince for only moving 2 spots is a sure fire win i would do every time.

Little, Bol Bol, and Sekou is a fricken goldmine haul for the Hawks for not being able to get into the top 3. I would take that every day of the week and be thrilled with it. The only other thing i would attempt to offer is 5, 11, Prince, and rights to future OKC 1st and the rights to the cavs own pick back for Zion and see if they bite if they didn't then i would take what you gave us and not look back.

PG - Trae
SG - Keven Hueter /
SF - Nassir Little / Sekou
PF - John Collins / Sekou
C - Bol Bol / Collins / Alex Len

Thats going into 2020 with Prince, Baze, and Plumlee's contracts off our team and having around 80 to 100 mil in cap space to add 2 max players another top 10 or so 2020 Draft pick OKC's 1st round pick and possibly Cavs 1st round pick if they get Zion and and another solid player and can finish outside of the top 10. While still leaving around 15 to 20 mil to add depth to that roster after those 2 max free agents.

I literally just went through every remaining game on http://www.playoffpredictors.com to come up with the standings.

Which team would take Ersan and/or Snell for the Bucks 1st?

Depending on his contract i wouldn't mind having Ersan back on the hawks we loved him here and if his contract expires by 2020 i would take him back.

Just curious, if the Knicks MAX’ed Kyrie and KD then pretty much used the rest of their roster on an AD trade... does that even make sense for the Knicks if they couldn’t fill their roster with anything but vet minimum guys until the 2020 off season?

Isn’t that basically what Miami did in 2010?

That's a lot of work so far out in advance but a good exercise.

As always i focus on the Bulls as a nearly 50 year fan. I really don't know about the available college players but to be it's unlikely they draft Langford a 6-6 freshman shooting guard. They have a lot of money comitted to Lavine, they have Hutchison who can play the 2, along with Valentine, under contract plus Seldon and Harrison. Their two needs are PG starter or backup, and a backup PF/C.

Don't know who they could draft at #5 but their normal call is a four year senior from a winning program who has improved in his last two years. At this point unless some players who fill their needs step up between now and the draft I could see them entertaining offers for #5 to move down out ofthe lottery and getting a young veteran to fill a need.
