I’ll watch but with minimal expectations. Either I’ll be pleasantly surprised, or I’ll strengthen my realization that resurrecting 90s nostalgia is an exercise in futility.

This is the “athlete” kids look up to today. I’m with the rest who’ll watch it, but not pay for it.

I haven't completely watched the first one yet given how bad it was. I will wait for the reviews.
I don't want to watch a 100 minute advertisement like the the first one. I feel bad for you if you enjoyed the first one if you weren't a kid at the time you watched it.

I think it's campy. We all know it's trash and not some quality movie, but we can have fun just as well.

I was pretty young when it came out to be fair (7), so maybe the nostalgia makes me still enjoy it.

I bet Drake is on the soundtrack, too. That guy knows how to weasel his way into things, and this seems like just the kind of project that might make him think "here's where I become an inter-generational icon."

Since it's LBJ starring, I would love to see him make a humanizing joke about The Decision, maybe implying that they could beat the Monstars "4...5...6" times haha

Realistically, I won't watch the movie, unless it's to see how bad it is; I can't imagine any universe where this turns out to be a good movie.

Movies are subjective. Just because others whether they are children or adults enjoyed the movie, doesn't require you to feel bad for them. But hey, if you didn't enjoy it, that's cool too.

If you sit down to watch a movie about an adult athlete playing with cartoon characters and expecting to watch a movie which is Oscar worthy, then I don't know what to tell you. In essence it was catered for children, and the box office shows that it was worthwhile venture. And that's not even including all the endorsement deals which came as a result of the movie. The same will apply to LeBron's take.

There's little reason for an adult to see the first one too.

But I agree, Lonny Tunes are so 90s. But idk what they'd do today? Fortnite? Like there is very little kids entertainment that people even in their 20s find legitimate.

Mostly where I'm at. I'll see it sometime, though not in theater (haven't been there in forever), and mostly for nostalgia. I'd bet most viewers will be those who were kids when the first was out.
