Blank Check and River Wild tho...you're a man of good taste

Thanks you sir. :P

Blank Check! Now that's a throw back. Pagemaster is another 94 dark horse for me but sometimes I think I imagined that movie

I don't understand what you mean. Space Jam was released in '96...Jordan was active and winning chips.

It was filmed in '94 before he went back to the NBA though. If he doesn't go back to the NBA the film would be looked at very differently.

Who knows maybe Lebron will win a chip in 2021 right before this is released. Nike will make it happen.

Gotcha. I think the movie could be a success if it was fully animated.

No way. 90s nostalgia is awesome

Honestly, 96 when Space Jam came out is like the pinnacle year of movies ever:

Independence Day
Twister
Mission Impossible
The Rock
Ransom
Jerry Maguire
12 Monkeys
Broken Arrow
Fargo
Executive Decision
Fear
The Subsitute
The Quest
Jack
Tin Cup
Sleepers
Jingle All The Way
Mars Attacks
Scream

What a list, but still... nothing compares to 94: Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, Dumb and Dumber, The Little Rascals, Lion King, Speed, The Jungle Book, Clerks, Little Giants and perhaps most importantly The Santa Clause with Tim Allen

You left out Leon: The Professional, True Lies, The Mask, Interview With the Vampire, Ed Wood, The Client, Ace Ventura, Blank Check. Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Hudsucker Proxy, Naked Gun 33 1/3, Maverick, and The River Wild

All cute lists but look at 1989, what a way to end the 80s!

Do the Right Thing
Dead Poets Society
Road House
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Batman
When Harry Met Sally
Back to the Future Part II
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Steel Magnolias
Field of Dreams
The Abyss
Major League
Ghostbusters II
Licence to Kill
Christmas Vacation
Driving Miss Daisy
Born on the Fourth of July

Maybe on Netflix or something. Space Jam is an awful movie once you take off the nostalgia goggles.

It's Do The Right Thing and then everything else imo at least. Worth pointing out I left off The Little Mermaid, Turner and Hooch, Glory, Weekend at Bernie's, and seriously a bunch of other pretty good comedies.

De Niro vs James.

Less awards but this one right here made him the GOAT.

Shame how Space Jam is so tainted now because of R Kelly

I never saw Do the Right Thing, but in my defense I was born in 91. I grew up with hand-me-down everything from my brothers (85 and 87) so I felt like an 80s kid by proxy.

I'm sorry but 1994 had a WAY better selection than that. 1999 was another strong year, maybe the best ever:

The Matrix
Fight Club
American Beauty
The Sixth Sense
Toy Story 2
Magnolia
The Green Mile
Office Space
The Insider
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Eyes Wide Shut
Man on the Moon
The Legend of 1900
October Sky
Election
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
American Pie
The Iron Giant
Summer of Sam
The Straight Story
Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace
Dogma
The Blair Witch Project
Princess Mononoke
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
The Mummy
Three Kings
Big Daddy
The Hurricane
Detroit Rock City
Tarzan
Run Away Bride
Varsity Blues
Blast From the Past
Any Given Sunday
Boys Don't Cry
Entrapment
Analyze This
Superstar
Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo
Bicentennial Man
Notting Hill
Bowfinger
10 Things I Hate About You
Idle Hands
Stuart Little
The Haunting
Lost & Found
Payback
Cruel Intentions
She's All That
Go
Never Been Kissed

It's where a star player leads a band of misfits and beats a super team. Kind of like the opposite of the 2018 NBA Finals.

I'm one of those downers that are like, it's a kids movie. Nothing against adults watching it and having fun, but just because Space Jam was a big part of my childhood doesn't mean I wanna watch every remake of stuff I watched when I was 5 years old.

I kinda have the same reaction to hipsters in their 30s who **** on Space Jam, unless it's offensive in some way why on earth are we **** on kids movies from decades ago?
