How in the hell is this team going to pick up their 534th lotto pick in a row this year? Whats wrong. How are they THIS bad.

Is this team the definition of why tanking should not be allowed?

Looking at that roster, I’m not really sure how they’d be expected to be better than anyone.

No team that builds around the $163 million man is going anywhere, tbh. He doesn't play a lick of defense, doesn't make plays well/make his teammates play that much better, and needs the ball in his hands a lot to be effective. He's been in Phoenix for over four seasons with nothing but losing seasons to show for it (never won more than 24 games in a single season (under 30% wins), never finished higher than 14th seed) - if that keeps up, people will have to start really questioning whether he's part of the problem there.

Jury is still out on Ayton since he's just a rookie...

IDK where you get that from. They have the #1 overall pick in the draft who everybody loved. I never hear anything about him. They got Bridges which was considered the best 3+D player in the draft who everybody was high on---Hes a non factor.

None of those players are doing ish. None. Bridges is a non-factor. They have Jackson who they refused to include in a Kyrie Irving trade in the past who isnt doing a single thing.

Its a complete embarrassment

Bridges is good. Ayton was a mistake over Doncic.

But nobody thought they'd be close to the playoffs. If you could show us where.

Bridges is bad. Ayton is underachiving for the #1 overall ladeda pick in the draft.

They have MULTIPLE lotto picks, one (Jackson) who they refused to trade for Kyrie Irving who is getting destroyed by likes of Cedi Osman on a nightly basis. They screwed up, its why they screwed up thats the question

Bridges is good though. Ayton is underwhelming but promising if he defends. Also the Jackson move was dumb if true, but pretty sure other pieces were involved.

They screwed up because Sarver.

2020 Bucks 1st
2021 Suns 1st (unprotected)
Jackson
Okobo

A preseason consensus bottom 2 West team is bad? How did we get here?

The rest may be true but Bridges is averaging 8/3/1 on league average shooting. Hes bad at basketball and playing like a 12th guy on the roster despite everybody hyping his selection for being so good out of Villanova

Booker is marginal player, Ayton is a rookie and nothing special. What did you expect?

Because he's a great defender. You wouldn't think Covington was good if that's how you look either. But he is.

Because the preseson was oogling over Booker/Ayton/Jackson and why the West is soooooo strong. None of them impact Ws/Ls.

How does the #1 overall pick in a strong draft not make any sort of difference in a teams outcome while playing with a borderline AllStar like Booker?

Covington is a 15/8/2/2 player who shoots an above average 37% from distance. Robert Covington went undrafted.

Bridges is 8/3/1/1 player who shoots below average. He went top 10 overall.

I think you might have to add Booker.
Also if you want Holiday, you have to add another FRP.

He's a rookie. You're wrong man. Bridges is their best defender and a solid 3 and D player. He's a rookie.

We’ve learned OP had way higher expectations for Phoenix than the vast majority

After all the whining from the Suns fans about rigged lotteries, they get their #1 pick but still **** it up. For some reason, they were hyped about Kokoskov hiring, Ayton pick, Bridges trade, Booker was the 2nd coming of Jesus, and at that point, Sarver wasn't a problem. Suddenly Sarver is the root of all evil although the fans themselves bought into decisions FO made.

They are actually worse than last year.

And Sarver.

They have done nothing but stock high round lotto picks for 5 years. They are one, if not the worst, team in basketball.

I'm pretty sure my local team is worse than the Suns

It’s quite simple, no leadership and no positive culture. Fix those couple of things and watch the young guys grow

so many things: coaching, management, ownership, player development, very bad drafting.

booker is king of empty stats and ayton seems similar too.

mikal bridges is quite nba ready but ceiling is trevor ariza. actually he is very similar to ariza in my opinion.
