So what does suspending an owner do? You mean he has to watch the games on TV while he's suspended? Oh, how painful. And why should a team's players, coaches and fans be penalized because the owner commits an indiscretion that has nothing to do with football?

If massage parlors were illegal and the women were being exploited, then FL should have shut them down long ago. This whole brouhaha is a waste of taxpayers money.

My thoughts and prayers go to the victims of these horrible crimes.

When did a team owner ever get into serious trouble for a misdemeanor? (Felonies are a different matter.) Well, Irsay did get a fine and suspension for DUI, but that was obviously pled down from a felony (he was under the influence of opiates that he had no legitimate need to take).

You guys are nuts. 30-60 days suspension and $500k-$1m fine.

I think it all depends on what they charge with him. If it's the lesser charge of being caught with prostitutes, then yeah, most likely a short suspension, and hefty fine. If, however, they charge with him being involved in "sex trafficking", then who knows what will happen.

The writers really got creative this season with the twist ending. I'm excited to see how this affects the storyline going forward.

Getting a handjob at a rub and tug massage parlor is not on my to-do list. And yes, it appears to have supported sex trafficking in this case (which Kraft himself is clearly not a part of). But smoking pre-legal weed or doing a few lines of coke also “supports cartel violence”, if we are going there.

The crime itself of, “Happy ending, please?” Is not honorable, but nowhere near make you sell the team worthy.

It doesn't depend on what they charge him with. It depends on what they convict him of, which won't be much (if anything).

That is true, except for when it comes to dealing with Goodell. As far as he's concerned being charged is the same as being found guilty - who needs any actual evidence.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. I know that workers at Asian Massage Parlors are sometimes trafficked...but I didn't read that the police charged anyone with human trafficking.

Human Trafficking, in its literal sense, is a very serious thing. It has also become a popular buzzword (or buzz phrase) used to advance agendas. "human trafficking sting" sounds better than "prostitution sting."

It has bugged me all night with this. I know Kraft likely gets off (no pun intended) but this is all F'ing gross as hell.

A multi billionaire 77 year old legendary owner went to a crappy massage parlor a few times at a sleazy strip mall in Florida. Like.....really? And they have it all on tape too apparently, oh GOOD.

And they basically are human sex slaves. Heard these girls basically cook off the back steps and live at the parlor.

Just pathetic. I am glad football isn't around the corner anytime soon.

Totally agree. I am not a Pats' fan, nor do I care what happens to Kraft. In the world of law, it is nothing more than a misdemeanor and he'll maybe get some consequence from the NFL. That being said, you are right, it is absolutely disgusting and not because he has is a multi-billionaire, but as you said it's girls who are sex slaves. Who gives a **** how much money you make? This is so wrong. If guilty, any time they show Kraft during a Pats' game, they will think of this. Maybe even if found not guilty. WTF is wrong with people?

If the girls were sex slaves, why were the massage parlors allowed to continue to operate?

We have a legal system. Kraft is just another defendant. He's entitled to the presumption of innocence, to representation by competent counsel, the right to confront the witnesses who testify against him, and all the rest. He's probably in a better position than most defendants, since he can afford the best lawyers. But let's stop this BS about "Kraft has to be held accountable." That's what the courts are supposed to do.

Law enforcement has made it very clear that they believe these women were trafficked/enslaved; hence the phrasing that the customers (including Kraft) in their opinion are "monsters". That said, I forget the reporting as to exactly what crimes the brothel operators have been charged with so far.

And while this is a case in which I find law enforcement's claims as to the general outline of what was going on to be very credible, that doesn't mean we should automatically accept the opinion of every law enforcement person about every nuance of the situation, including their implied judgments as to what the customers should and shouldn't have realized.

Also: The key sheriff in this is very much a politician, who was a state legislator before he was sheriff.

It's misdemeanor, but for the Pats it's been a crazy witch hunt, cause the NFL wants other teams to shine. There are NFL "analysts" out there calling for the Pats to lose all their draft choices, cause their owner paid for prostitutes, it's kinda bizarre. It is embarrassing, but many people do it. I dunno if he knew these guys were trafficking people, would think he'd stay the **** away if he knew, cause I huge scandal is kinda bound to happen.

Kraft isn't going to be disciplined severely for this by the league. I'm guessing that he knows where too many of the NFL's bodies are buried.

This is a none issue as far as Kraft is concerned. Slap on the wrist and move on. Not sure why a billionaire would have to visit a place like that though.

As long as he was not aware of the human trafficking and wasn’t part of it, he is fine legally. But this those hurt his imagine a little.

As far as the law enforcement being aware of the human trafficking for months, why didn’t they step in earlier and shut it down? Were they piling on more evidence? And after months, how much more evidence would they need?

It’s sad for the girls involved but the people involved in the human trafficking should be the ones that legal system will come down on.

Yeah, Kraft could have had Stormy Daniels come to his place in Palm Beach in a limo. Even if he prefers Asian girls, I'm sure he could find someone willing to perform in house. Or take his private jet to Thailand and get ten girls for the price of one in Jupiter, FL. And no cameras.

I’m also wondering if he was alone? I doubt a 77 year old billionaire would drive to what seems like a shady part of town, all by himself. Did he go there with friends or security?

And I wonder who the other big name was that also got caught. This should be interesting but it’s not a good look for Kraft.
