sit McCaw and dont renew Meeks. limit Powell has been atrocious as of late.

play just 8. (Lowry+Green+Ibaka+KAwhi+Siakam+Lin+OG+Gasol)

This will definitely happen in the playoffs, I am not so sure it will happen in the regular season.

Sorry but I have lost faith in Nurse to put the right line up out there. We should have the number 1 spot right now. I understand 8t doesn't mean much to win regular season games but seeding matters and win percentage matters if we plan on going to finals.

Raptors for some reason, regardless of the players that come in all become mental midgets.... you know what that means? One word answer "Coaches"

ah, the Casey mentality. lets try hard for 70 wins!
No one is going to play 12 man rotation in play-off. We tried going deep last year and that didn't work out. You have to go with you main pieces now. About 20 games remaining before play-offs and we need to have the main pieces playing with each other as long as possible.

No one uses an 8 man rotation for 20 games in the season. That's just way too much on the players especially in the regular season, its just not needed.

now is the best time to try it out since Boston is a threat to our playoff chances.

maybe play 8 1/2 with Powell in cameo appearances.

I think they probably go with 10 guys but Powell/Meeks will get extremely limited minutes if they aren't producing.

Lowry was no show in both games at TD Gardens, and his hero mode cost us the most recent one. He's had a nice 9 day break, I expect him to be in tip top form. I wanna see the Kyle who steam rolled Philly a few weeks ago on TNT

It's going to happen sooner than later. Play-offs is no time to experiment. You have to get your main guys telling as a unit and last 20 games should be fine or at least last 10 games.

Posted this on our board, curious to see what you guys think of this: it feels like the Celtics and Maple Leafs have been the exact same team this year in different sports.

--Both pre-season conference favorites with a ton of young talent
--Both underachieving hard, and are currently slated to not have home court/ice in the playoffs (Celtics in 5th slated to play Philly, Leafs in 3rd in division and slated to play Bruins in Round 1)
--Both facing key offseasons with multiple free agents
--Both have star players who haven't always been labeled as "winners" (Kyrie/Tavares)

Interesting comparison. I can see the parallels. I think the leafs have less in their way compared to the Celtics who likely need to get past Philly, then the Bucks, and then raptors (given current standings).

I want to see McCaw get more minutes. He has looked really good in the minutes he has gotten.

Don't want to see McCaw anymore.

But we need Meeks shooting.

What has he done? They sag off him because he can't shoot and that clogs up the lanes.

Defensively he got burned so many times last night and he didn't even box out Ross that led to immediate buckets.

McCaw is lorenzo brown 2.0.

Also, giving minutes to Meeks off the bench at the very least will space the floor more giving more room for slashers like Powell, Lin and Anunoby.

Yes, I've had this same thought as well. I would even add that both teams lack a bit of offensive toughness to fight through contact. The Celtics seem really happy to take stepback jumpers that the defense gives them, the Leafs rely too much on long stretch passes to exit their own zone.

Watching the Leafs has been really frustrating. They could have a Norris and Vezina this year, and two superstar Cs, and yet they can't distinguish themselves from a lot of one line teams.

A win here would be HUGE.

As we start jockeying for playoff position, beating the Celtics would help keep them down into the 4/5th seeds. Now we just have to cheer for Indiana and possibly let Milwaukee/Philly/Boston battle it out until there's one team left (if we make it that far)

Win because I hope the Raps feel embarassed enough about the loss on Sunday to be motivated to win this one.
