My plan is to go to Milwaukee day of the game and then wait until right before game time to check the different vendors and wait for liquidation. If prices don't drop or tickets don't become available, f it we'll go watch it at the big new fancy schmancy outdoor bar and tv and have fun regardless.

This is tough because the last experience we had with this is 20 years ago so I doubt anyone remembers and even if they do prices were much different 20 years ago than they are today.

For reference game 1 of the NLCS had a get in price of $115 but Miller Park holds 40,000+ compared to 18,000 for the Bucks so I'm guessing there will be a lot more demand than there is supply so I would budget closer to $200 each just to be on the safe side.
That's kinda what I figured, and I'm trying to prepare for that. I'll be able to swing up $400/ea if some great tickets come up.

I've heard this strategy is pretty hit or miss, but my "mentor" has done it at the superbowl the last two years and has gotten ridiculous seats for way under face once and gotten good seats the other time for face value, because the ticket holder couldn't make it, got sick, who knows what reason. You gotta be prepared to not get tickets though.

Waiting until just before game time used to be a good strategy for sporting events. But now that everything is electronic I'm not so sure. I went into the arena about a half hour before tip, I didn't see any scalpers. I know they used to hang out by Goolsbys, I wasn't there last night so I don't know
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Last time I went I saw several scalpers on the North side of the building at 5th and Juneau.

To be clear, I meant online vendors not scalpers. I would hang outside the arena until I found a good deal online.

Gotcha. I think they cut off online sales on Stubhub, etc... at a certain point. I'm not sure though.

I sold my corner uppers for Saturday for 110 a piece. Could’ve got more but wanted off my hands. Game one (or game 3 and we win one in Oakland) NBA Finals against the Warriors? Probably 400+ I’m too cheap to pay 100+ for an average Saturday night, but if I didn’t have season tickets I would probably pay 400 for one game and more for a clinching game six.

Get in price for Cleveland last year was $328 in a series where you knew you would get destroyed and aren’t coming off of 30 years of bad basketball.

To get a below average ticket to previous playoff games, when the Bucks were a 6-8 seed, in the **** BC, you’d have to be ready to spend $150-$200. There’s no way you’ll get in for less than $200-$250 in the playoffs. Standing room tickets for tomorrow is $70. Cheapest I saw on a quick skim was $111 for second level, last row. I’d say $250 get in is generous for playoffs.

What's below average here mean?

In the past $150 got me fourth row in the lower once, and I sat in the uppers every game last year for $25-90 depending on the game and seat (nose bleeds to mid court&half way up). Hell, yeah practically gave away tickets to the playoffs with some of their promotions in the past, but I see your point.

Glad I found the thread where people are talking about season tickets.

I'm close to taking the plunge on a pair of lower level tickets for next year. Did anyone have anything in the 100s this year? Just wondering how easy it was to get money back on resales during the season. I really don't care about making a profit i just want face value playoff tix.

Supposedly all upper deck seats sold (unless current season ticket holders don't renew by March 1). No idea about lower bowl, but would think options would be limited.
It was extremely easy to resale this year but next year could be a different story. Lose in round two to the Celtics, Middleton, brogdon and Lopez leave, we are a Giannis ankle injury away from not being a playoff team. There's a risk premium for holding 100$+ face tickets to a bucks game in January.

This year both lowers and uppers are going for above face. Hard to predict next year. The new arena smell will be gone and we have no idea what the team will look like. No doubt we'll be good but maybe not 60 win pace good. Hard to tell.

For what it is worth, last year I bought tickets to a Louisville men's BB game after it had already started on StubHub and had no issues. The only odd thing is I swore it said e-ticket, but I received a PDF file I had to print. Fortunately our hotel was right across the street from the venue so I did all of that there.

I agree, each year will be a crapshoot with the Bucks casual fanbase being really fickle and the arena no longer being "new". I would have to think prices regress slightly next year from what they are at the moment. Only way maybe not is if they get a ton of new season ticket holders and there are not as many tickets to buy directly from the Bucks.

As for playoff pricing, maybe I'm overestimating it, but I was thinking more along the lines of $400-500/ticket to get in if the Bucks were to make the Finals. Just for the fact the Bucks haven't been there since the 1970's and for that matter a World Series series hasn't been there since 1982. Other factors are less capacity equals less available tickets, and there is plenty of built excitement already. If people are driving February regular season games up to close to $100/ticket minimum, can't imagine that won't at least triple come Finals time. I see there are 1st round tickets already on Stubhub and they are starting at around $145-$150/ticket.

Same prices here. $64 for Finals tickets is crazy especially when I’ve been consistently selling my $24 season tickets for $70-90 each for the last 2 months or so.

Man, I sold my tickets WAY too early this year. But any other year if you waited you would get stuck with crap returns I guess.

I was happy with the playoff pricing too. I've never really had a beef with it. Playoff tickets have always been an easy sell in my experiences other than maybe 2012 when they were the sacrificial lamb to the Heat. I mean even last year when they played a non-sexy Celtics team and were down 2-0 there was still some demand.

Yay! I was able to secure 2 additional playoff strips this morning for being a season ticket holder. Inventory was gone in less than 5 minutes.

Oh wow. I snagged (2) in the lower level just to have the option of having 4 tickets. I assume it won't be hard to find people to go and/or sell if need be.

I surprisingly was able to get the 2 seats next to my (aisle) season tickets. Will be nice having 4 tickets together for each game, especially for the games I can’t attend and have to sell.

Nice Snag, I ran over to my co worker that has season tickets when I was done with my order 12:03 and by the time he logged inventory was out.
