Lowry
Green
Kawhi
Siakam
Gasol
Matchup wise:
Lowry vs. Irving
Green vs. Smart
Kawhi vs. Tatum
Siakam vs. Morris
Gasol vs. Horford
I'd say Raps have the edge IF they can make the open shots. Gasol can create opportunities for the shooters on our team. I think Nurse has to start this lineup.
This is a game where Ibaka should start. He plays great against the Celtics and Gasol has been pretty up and down against them.
I see what you're saying. But would Gasol not provide better defence than Ibaka would? Ibaka plays well offensively, however, Horford gets open from 3 so often due to Ibaka not switching. Would Gasol not be better in PnR coverage?
Gasol is definitely the smarter defender but, he's limited and I think a motivated Ibaka can actually follow Horford around including out to the 3-point line. Horford has also completely outplayed Gasol in their last couple of meetings.
Horford is the Celtics most important player imo. He's a huge part of their offence and anchors their defence. We need to limit his touches and our centre has to have his offense going so we can force Al to put extra effort in guarding him.
