I got one Knicks friend of mine who says he'll be the best center in 2 years..backtracked a bit and said only Embiid better. As far as the clip.. well he got good positioning against a borderline backup center in Birch. Vuc put up 26.. not sure if he was on him at all in the game. Other than 2 or 3 posessions from the clip. I always hear blocks blocks blocks. And i question if perhaps he's more a Whiteside type that puts up nice numbers. But actually hurts the overall team defense. Anywho.. enjoy his hopeful growth.

Nah, his on/off going into to tonight's game was +5.9 and he's been a constant in the majority of net positive lineups the Knicks have had this year. He's already an imapct player.
Stats like that on a bad team don't really reflect true. I'm not saying, i know either way but until the knicks start winning and he's contributing to that we can't really tell. Like why was this elite defender not playing against KAT one of the most offensively skilled bigs in the NBA? Also remember Eddie Griffin..he was a per36 darling also 13,10,4.4 for Mitch and Griffin had a 13,11,2.8 and another year of 8.5 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 3.9 bpg. At the same time, I won't pretend like I watch Knicks games so it's definitely possible he's a stud in the making. Also possible he's an eddie griffin type

probably coz KAT didn't play against Knicks lol

Uh, shot blocker would have sufficed, but I guess you need to use all those words, so...

I see I've upset a horde of Knicks fans. Don't see why, he's clearly version 3 billion of young talented defender who bites on every move. He'll get more experienced and disciplined with time and become a much better defender. He's like a young Ibaka, blocked everything in sight then got subbed out at the end game defensive possessions for Nick Collison. :D

Oh, clearly you misunderstood me. I agreed with you. You just took the dick way to say what everyone else was already stating - He's a shot blocker.

He has tremendous potential with the defensive skills/instincts he's been showing! Look forward to seeing him develop. I still remember how crucial Tyson Chandler was in Mavs' 2011 Championship and I think there are good odds Mitchell becomes (at least -> perhaps much more if he makes major developments offensively) a very good version of Tyson Chandler, so I think he can play a similarly instrumental role in a few years' time (maybe already next year if they get KD and Kyrie).

I still cannot fathom how so many teams passed on him in the draft! Can you imagine the Lakers, Pacers, Bucks, GSW,..., with him on the roster this year?

I don't see how it's being a dick to point out that his block numbers being lauded over aren't sustainable when he starts playing disciplined defense. :dontknow:

You didn't really upset anyone. Robinson has been hyped and highly touted since High School. He was ranked 8th overall (higher than Jaren Jackson Jr) HS player coming out of HS. He's putting up these numbers against grown men NBA competition while taking a year off in College. If he played college ball, he would've gone top 10 or maybe top 5 (definitely higher than Bamba). You could imagine the type of stats he would've put up against college kids. He would've dominated.

Last week DSJ was the next Knicks superstar after 2 good games. Now that he's trash again let's try to convince General Board about another guy. What's the point?

He's legit good. Anybody just harping on "Knicks fans" hyping up a young guy is misinformed. Yeah, they have done it in the past, but this guy can be a legit game changer on defense. He does get exposed at times because he does like to jump so much, but give him a few years in the league to learn defense more than just blocking shots, and combined with his ability, he can for sure contend for some all defense teams or DPOY one day.

Mitch is being compared to many guys but Mitch is unique...special and the funny thing is - he's doing all of this with not much experience...

You know that right now Robinson is 3rd in the league while Gobert is 4th? You have Myles Turner way up front with Anthony Davis on the 2nd place.

Look at the minutes difference. Gobert's blocks per 36 minutes are not even close... neither are Turner's. Mitch is only 3rd because he plays way less minutes than everyone else on the list.

Your assessment is so off. If it were correct, we'd give you credit. You obviously do not watch him play. Once you have, your opinion would matter. He truly is a game changer and not just a jumper. Once again, watch the tape.

Not sure what your point is? Giannis wouldn’t have fetched an AD type player back then either. Sorry but Mitchell isn’t going to be the centerpiece of anything right now.

I looked them up. Looking like a prime Saleh Mejri.

If he is a prime Saleh Mejri, I wonder what the rest of the Lakers roster sans Lebron is :lol:

Ingram=Andrew Wiggins 0.5
Lonzo=homeless man's Rubio
Hart + Wagners = don't even know a comparison they just suck.

I wouldn't trade him for any of the young guys on the Lakers combined. All bad players.

Damn the only thing I learned from this thread is how likeable and knowledgeable the Orlando Magic fanbase is...even on the general board
