What is hilarious is that he was loved at Michigan when he played as QB. Tough guy.

Then he was a coach at Stanford and made the comment about Michigan having a way to admit athletes that are subpar students. And a way to keep them eligible. So the Michigan propaganda machine turned on him and all the Michigan fans hated him. How dare he.......

But then he did well at Stanford and went to the NFL and took his team to the Superbowl. But for some strange reason he was going to get fired. But that was ok. Rumors started that he would be the next head coach at Michigan. The Proponganda machine started back up and all the Michigan fans went back to loving him. Despite all warning signs that this Harbaugh seemed different. They loved him anyway. And they paid him like they loved him.

Now he has the same record as Brady Hoke. But he is 1-6 against MSU and OSU. A WR has not caught a TD in 50 quarters. Michigan is dead last in the Big Ten in beating ranked teams on the road. Again, he has never finished better than 3rd........in the East. Rank the Big Ten teams in the last 5 years would be OSU, MSU, Wisconsin, PSU, Iowa, Northwestern, then maybe Michigan. He was supposed to be the QB whisperer but even with the revolving door and transfer at QB coming and going, it is just now that Michigan fans are starting to wake up. The QB’s at Michigan have been pedestrian at best.

“He may not be the coach we thought he was. We want the Stanford version”. Former players are turning on him and getting suspended from their current jobs. Harbaugh looks unenthused and confused when he talks to the media.

This is a critical time for Michigan. The MSU game may very well be for his job if Michigan lays an egg at Northwestern and Wisconsin (is it possble they struggle with Nebraska?) They have a bye week after MSU so can lay it all on the line. Will it be enough?

But if they do replace Harbaugh, rest assured the next head coach will be the best young coach in the history of young coaches. He will be the next Urban Meyer or Nick Saban and will get back to the Michigan core values. One thing that never dies is the propaganda machine. The worse the situation at Michigan gets, the louder and more outlandish the blabber becomes out of Ann Arbor.

Go Green, Beat ASU

I don't think they'll replace him though.

M had a very good year. The problem is you're expected to be great. You can't lose like this. Inexcusable. 9 million a year means you need to produce. No different than Stafford and the Lions. Time to part ways. Hasn't worked. This is how you're judged. Let's flip the script. Ohio State was run over with negative analysis this year. Except all OSU does is win.

Well OSU has far better recruiting. I doubt they'd find a better coach than Harbaugh but at some point he may want to leave.

As we come down the stretch in the Carey recruitment, a thought about "pitches" and the truth.

If it were me, this is the message I'd make sure Vernon Carey (and/or Isaiah Stewart, for that matter) got. I mean not even from the schools recruiting him, but those around him, those who care about his basketball future...

Vernon is a big man. Having watched him, I think it's fair to say that the #1 thing he needs to improve upon is the defensive end. Not that he's incapable, but I think he can get in even better condition physically, and he needs to improve his possession-to-possession focus at that end. His offensive game is fine where it is...NBA worthy tomorrow, honestly.

When I look at the track record of big kids lately who have gone to Duke, it's not encouraging on that front. Worse yet, I think they weren't challenged enough, forced to find a way to improve enough on that side of the ball. Okafor was hidden defensively. Kudos to K for doing that in terms of what it meant for his team, because they won a title, but I don't think Okafor got even a little bit better on that end and you see where his career is today. Might it have ended up there anyway? Maybe, but I'd sure like to have seen where he would have been had he spent a year where he was held accountable for what he did on both ends.

Look at last year with Bagley and Carter...they ended up playing a f-ing zone, because those guys couldn't play man and K wasn't about to go losing some games in order to get through to them. Did it help those guys prepare for life at the next level? I'm not sure you can make a good case that it did.

I could even take it out of the strict big man comparison...look at Jabari Parker. Never held accountable on the defensive end. I think it's hurt his career.

Michigan State has rarely had guys at that talent level...really only Jaren Jackson Jr. fits the mold in recent years. Look at the transformation in his body over the course of one year (and I know for a fact that MSU's strength and conditioning was a MAJOR factor in Jaren ending up here in the first place). Look at the way he was held accountable, and what he himself says it's meant to his improvement. Can go over a long list of guys over the years with similar stories even if they don't possess similar talent, including one or two on the team playing in East Lansing right now.

These aren't the only things that matter, but they're very important (or should be) for any player who has an NBA career in front of him. If I'm one of the adults around such a player, I cannot imagine not taking this into consideration. Who's going to coach you in a way designed to actually help you get better?

Mannion is so good, Arizona is gonna have a fun team next year and a weird one for Miller, not sure how his coaching style fits the roster

Williams-Smith-Barcello
Mannion-Armstrong/Doutrive
Green-Akot
Gettings/Lee
Jeter-Nnaji-Koloko

Gonna guess Brandon Randolph leaves and Majok Deng commits elsewhere cause they aren't enough scholarships otherwise
Randolph is super old for a sopho (senior age) putting up numbers and gonna lose a ton of touches next year, so he should probably go, might get a look in the 2nd round somewhere or a chance as a 2-way, his frame/lack of strength limits him as a defender but he is quick and can bother Guards with that and length, he has a really nice jumper on the other end

Williams-Mannion-Green is a super exciting trio though, I heard that Nnaji is a bit like a young Channing Frye, I mean really, this team reminds me more of a Beilein's roster than a typical Sean Miller's one

We were like 1 minute and a Keenan Evans injury away from doing it last year...maybe it won’t happen this year but Chris Beard is going to win multiple Big 12 titles before he’s done at Tech.

Did Bill Self announce he’s going to the pros?

Nah Chris Beard announced that he’s the best coach in the Big 12 and a top 5 coach in the country.

The fun part is we’re just getting started. This years team is only 8 deep. The bottom of the roster is not good or hurt but we already have another top 20 class coming in, and we’re about to land another top 60 player in the next week.

This is year 3 of Chris Beard and we’re already making Elite 8’s and beating Kansas by 30. So far ahead of the timeline it’s stupid.

Even if we don’t win it this year (I think K-State does) the future of Tech basketball is insanely bright. And the best part is Beard is going nowhere, unless Kentucky or Duke comes calling IMO.

Lol and last season we would have won the conference if Zach Smith and Keenan Evans didn’t get hurt.

Tech has split the last 4 with KU, and both Tech wins were blowouts, where KU has a blowout and a 1 point win.

Hopefully it's not like the end of the SSOL era.

Congrats to KU, the streak was amazing and something that will never happen again in a Power conference imo.

I just think it's funny that I predicted this before the year and got laughed at. We might not even win it, KState has the far easier game remaining, but Chris Beard will have Tech in the fight as long as he's around. He's that good of a coach and our recruiting is really picking up. We'll be young next season so he'll have to find a couple grad transfers like he did with Owens and Mooney but I trust that he will.

As for this year, I think we can make a Final 4 run. Jarrett Culver is one of the 10 best players in the country, it'll be up to the supporting cast to play their roles and we'll go as far as our defense takes us.

I didn’t think Tech was going to be terrible or anything, I just had really high expectations for Kansas this year that got derailed by a variety of things. I definitely want you guys win it instead of Kansas State. I hope Big 12 represents well at the tournament this year too, not sure what kind of performance we’ll get from Kansas though.
