That said, you never know which star player will demand a trade next.

Not too many realistic targets besides Holiday and Gordon. NY, Cle, Bulls, Grizz, Wizards, Atl don't really have anything (players-wise), outside of very low probability stuff like NY willing to trade 1-3 spots up to get Ja instead of DSJ, but why would they do that, and why would we? I could see us trading from about 3 to 6 for Conley, if the Grizz want to blow it up, but I dunno how the salaries would work, and I wouldn't want to give up a lot for him b/c his age and his contract. Orlando (Gordon) and Minnesota (Saric) would also be OK with me if we could get Garland with their pick, but that's a bit unlikely imho, and we would still need a veteran PG. Also not sure how salaries would work, and if I would want to give up a 2nd pick for 12th and an OK, but nothing special PF.

I thought it might be good if he was if TJ was back, and before I knew Book was out, but I don't know. It just seems any time we start playing better something happens.

Last time after we beat Denver and Sacramento and lost on buzzer beaters in Toronto, Minnesota and San Antonio, and were playing teams close, TJ got injured and we lost our 17 in a row. Finally we win and now Book is out as well as TJ still being out.

Lonzo is another possibility if the Lakers are looking for ammo to chase Davis. I could definitely see NO prefer a top pick over ball in that deal.

Heck even if the Lakers don't get Davis they might explore something like that because I just don't see lonzo being on that team next year.

Seriously unbelievable.

Saw something on Twitter - has played a stretch of 15+ games in a row like half dozen times in four years. I am not sure if that’s the right number but it wasn’t a lot

I would like to trade him. I have seen enough from him.

Not sure if the Suns are gonna pick up the option on his fourth year.

Yeah I'm not sure they will either. Curious if they could have got something for him at the deadline.

Finding trade logical partners is tough since not a lot of teams sitting around saying 'we could really use a wing who can't shoot and turns it over a bunch'.

Let assume there is no chance of getting Irving or Walker as a PG. Also, assume the RFA PGs are going to be matched by their teams so no Brogdan, Rozier, Russell, or Mudiay. Also, Dragic and Teague take their player options. What's left is

Bledsoe, Rose, Rubio, Collison, Isaiah Thomas, Rondo, Beverly, Payton, McConnell

Who do you want?

It's probably time for the Suns to "shut him down" for his "healthy" aka tank even harder.

Dude is just injury prone

Aren't you in the trade picks camp? I'm in the trade out for a PG camp if Zion is off the table. Jrue and Conley are my targets. I'd like Russell but Nets won't move him unless he won't sign. Beal would have to force his way out.

Don’t think he’s injury prone, I’m sure 75% of the games he’s sat out would not have happened if the Suns were competitive fighting for a playoff spot. Booker is a strong dude. I agree with what they’re doing.

Anyone see this on Twitter? The greatest example of this front office's incompetence and there's no end in sight.

Not that I'm a big James Jones fan but McDonough and his stooges are responsible for a lot of this and got fired

My preferences
1. Lonzo (better contract/age then Holiday. More room to grow with team and will let us have enough cap for pf or bigger trade)
2. Jrue
3. Rondo or Bev starting with Morant learning off bench for 1-2 years
4. Meh..

So we basically traded an old Steve Nash for Deathony Melton and Tyler Johnson. Let’s not forget he could have signed with LA without the Suns getting anything back. I wish we would have kept IT though.

When Kyrie and AD go to the Lakers, we could facilitate for Lonzo or Jrue. I hope Jones can handle that otherwise we're in serious trouble. The new FO will need to execute quickly.

Of course, this is all McD until the Tyler Johnson trade. I mean had we just not traded the last pick for Knight and wasted $70 million on him we would have basically traded Nash for Mikal Bridges. But we really just have an overpaid Tyler Johnson and Melton. Neither of which are under contract for any season in which we will be relevant.

But we wasted a lot more than just those Nash picks during McD's era. We basically wasted 5 years of our lives on bad basketball which resulted in high picks that panned out to nothing...yet...of course we have Ayton but obviously it's' arguable if that was even the right pick.
