Just give up Jackson + Oubre (if they want him) and the Milwaukee 1st while it’s actually an option if they want more chuck in our 2021 first top 5 protected.
Holy crap that's an overpay! I really hope you're not James Jones.
Jackson
OR Oubre (as a S & T, if that's even an option) + the Milwaukee pick + a future 2nd is about all Lonzo's worth.
He doesn't fit with Lebron, and none of the 3 players can shoot worth a darn, so the added picks are more than enough value to add to the trade.
What do you mean he doesn’t fit with Lebron? When both are healthy the team was like .600 and without him they are like .450
He does all the things that contribute to WINNING basketball, he just doesn’t have amazing stats.
We need someone like that to go with Bridges over the empty stat guys like Booker and Warren who have shown they don’t contribute much to winning.
Ball passes the eye test, has amazing vision, smarts, BBIQ, is an above average defender and elite playmaker. Exactly what we need.
We need to make moves that actually make us better, in a year Jackson and Oubre could both easily be off the team or have no trade value as they are both close to busts with where they were picked the same as Len, Chriss and Bender. I’m sick of busts and want someone that actually contributes to winning basketball.
Jackson, Oubre and Milwaukee late first isn’t an overpay, it’s two net negative impact players with tiny glints of potential remaining and a pick 30..
Jackson isn’t better than average at anything and is garbage at quite a few thing. He is close to the worst shooter in the league (form wise), is turnover prone, is nowhere close to the defender people thought he’d be (is still below average whilst contributing very little on offense)
Oubre isn’t garbage at anything but isn’t better than average at anything either and is a poor defender who has shown very little in his 4 years in the league at below average effieincy, comes across as a chucker who isn’t even that good at that aspect anyway.
I’m a suns fans too and love our team but you have to give up something to get something and really have to actually look at fair trades not just ones that are beneficial for us because how many times have we fleeced teams in the last 10 years, maybe once in the Nash trade and that’s it and when we did that we were giving away an old player but actually giving a prior superstar.. you have to give to get.
